Social media giants Twitter and Facebook have suspended the accounts of Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro’s allies following an order from the Supreme Court of the South American nation.
The ruling comes when the High Court seeks to see if allies have embarked on a disinformation campaign.
Tensions have risen between the far-right leader and the court, which is investigating allegations that members of his circle have campaigned on social media to discredit the court, slander and threaten his judges.
