Vampires can be sexy, terrifying, emblematic and horrible. Therefore, it is not unexpected that vampire movies have reigned and surprised the public for more than a hundred years. Vampire movies come from many genres: romance, horror, science fiction, comedy and even drama. Although some of the most productive vampires are so bad, they are intelligent (and yes, Twilight is on this list), others are well made, lovely movies that see death, immortality and occasionally lust. Vampire folklore dates back to centuries of backward. However, the first folklore cross the vampires with witches and demons. A giant component of the fashion vampire culture comes from the novel through Bram Stoker in 1897, but it is not the first Vampire of the 1800s novel. Dracula is the novel through Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu in 1872 of 1872 and the news of 1819 of 1819, the vampyre of John Polidori (which adapted from a terrifying history festival between Polidori, Lord Byron and the friend Mary Shelley, the Same Festival also led Frankenstein de Shelley;
The top-grossing vampire film doesn’t rank on this list. The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 2 is the highest-grossing vampire film, whether or not it is adjusted for inflation. It is only one of two vampire movies to gross over $1 billion (the other is another Twilight film, The Twilight Saga: New Moon.)
Very few vampires have won or have even been nominated for the Oscars. However, many have won Festival Festival, horror and even fame awards. When this list considers the ancient importance and the general quality of the videos, it also includes some videos for its natural entertainment value.
The queen of the whore demands to be monitored “however, for the vampire chronicles of Anne Rice or Horror Campy in general, the Queen of the Damned is almost a will of the genre. The game is incredibly inconsistent, the Rhythm is strange and the noise soundtrack is incredibly outdated.
The film is based on the third ebook of the vampire series through Anne Rice of the same name. Follow the vampire Lioncourt Lioncourt while he has become the leader of a naked group, who angry his ancestral queen. The film presents Stuart Towsend and Aaliyah. You must have to hire here.
Vamps is not a great film by any means, but there is something weirdly fascinating about it, especially as a vampire movie. It’s a comedy about two best friends who are vampires and live in New York City. One is centuries old and lies about her age, and the other is forty; however, they have a fairly uncomplicated friendship and bond. Female friendship isn’t explored in most vampire media, and furthermore, in the film, it is used as a tether to goodness.
Vamps feels a little out of place in the vampire genre, but at the same time, the movie has a lot of reverence for the genre. It is filled references and even clips from films like 1922’s Nosferatu. Written and directed by Amy Heckerling, Vamps stars Alicia Silverstone, Krysten Ritter, Dan Stevens, Wallace Shawn, Justin Kirk, Kristen Johnston, Malcolm McDowell and Sigourney Weaver. Vamps feels like it should have a cult following; however, unfortunately, it doesn’t really seem to have one. It is available to stream here.
Italian horror films are not for everyone, however, if interested, Black Sunday is the most productive Italian vampire film. Director Mario Bravo, Black Sunday follows a vampire witch who returns after being executed through his brother to take revenge.
The stars of the film Barbara Steele, John Richardson, Andrea Checki, Ivo Garrani, Arturo Dominici and Enrico Olivieri. Mr. Vampire is a comedy horror film from Hong Kong. Directed by Ricky Lau, the film follows a group of citizens who must fight jiangshi (an undead monster from Chinese folklore similar to zombies and vampires). The movie includes some great jiangshi lore, including fighting them by holding your breath and having Congealed rice.
Mr. Vampire presents Ricky Hui, Moon Lee, Chin Siu -Ho, Lam Ching -ing and Billy Lau. The film introduced a small madness of vampires in Taiwan and Japan, which led to a boom in Hong Kong Jiangshi movies, adding several suites. It is a laughter that can break the Gothic horror and popular stories of Dracula in the Western Vampire Canyon. You must have to hire here.
Slay is a camp and purposely silly vampire film. This won’t be for everyone, but it will be enjoyable for (especially queer) fans of horror-comedies, B-movies and Grindhouse antics. From director Jem Garrard, Slay follows a group of drag queens who accidentally find themselves performing at a dive bar filled with vampires.
The film looks a bit at dusk until Dawn meets the bird’s cage in a way of John Waters. However, everything works strangely. In particular, the film presents Pro Drag Queens instead of professional actors. Slay presents Trinity The Tuck, Heidi N Closet, Crystal Methyd and Cara Melle. Unfortunately, it cannot be had in the transmission.
The sequel to 1931’s Dracula, Dracula’s Daughter, is a classic monster movie in its own right. The film follows Dracula’s daughter after the death of the count. While she wants to live outside her father’s influence, she is pulled back to Transylvania.
Directed by Lambert Hillyer, the film stars Gloria Holden, Otto Kruger and Marguerite Churchill. While the film was reportedly based on Bram Stoker’s 1914 short story (and deleted chapter of the original novel), “Dracula’s Guest,” it shares nothing with it. Instead, it seems far closer to the novella Carmilla by Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu. The film is a little slow-moving, but Holden’s performance carries the film well. It is available to rent here.
Kiss of the vampire is a favorite of worship. It is one of the many Gothic horror films through Hammer Studios in England. The film follows a young honeymoon couple in Bavaria since the 1910s. There they meet a town and a castle outside.
Made through Don Sharp, the film presents Edward from Souza and Jennifer Daniel. Kiss of the vampire originally to be a component of the Dracula of Hammer (which also includes Dracula with Christopher Lee of 1958 and Dracula’s flanges with Peter Cushing, iconic movies). However, the definitive situation does not. T attach to the first two films. You have to transmit here.
Directed through Jim Jarmusch, Only the Lovers of the Left A is an introspective vampire film about the nature of love and death. The film follows a pair of vampires who have been married for centuries, until now until one of them thinks about committing suicide after life influencing art and culture.
The film stars Tilda Swinton, Tom Hiddleston, Mia Wasikowska, Anton Yelchin, Jeffrey Wright, Slimane Dazi and John Hurt. It’s beautiful, contemplative and jaded; however, not everyone will be looking for that from a vampire movie. In many ways, it doesn’t matter that they are vampires, only that they are old souls. The real reason to watch this film is because of the powerhouse performances by Swinton and Hiddleston. It is available to rent here.
This can be a debatable inclusion. Twilight had a lot of hatred when it came out here. Although some of them can come from how we see the media for adolescents, Twilight is also probably a bad movie. The game is strange, and the dialogue, although taken from the electronic book on which it is based, is Robot (really? “Do you expect the tight monkey, the spider”?).
Twilight, however, is also a deeply enjoyed movie. There is a quality of “So-Bad -ite’s-Good” for all franchise films with five films (except the movie Moment, New Moon, which is a bit bad). These films are made to be seen with friends, on the night of the pajamas or with the drinking games, however, there is something glorious about it. Directed through Catherine Hardwicke, Twilight follows a woman who falls in love with a vampire. He presents Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Billy Burke, Cam Gigandet, Taylor Lautner and Anna Kendrick, who “forgot” that she in the movie. You have to transmit here.
From Down Dawn has everything a film made through Robert Rodríguez has (perhaps apart from spying on children): sex, violence, Mexico, a little sensation of B-Film and Salma Hayek. The film follows two hops of banks and their hostages that visit to hide from a truck avoiding locating that it is beaten through vampires.
The film stars Harvey Keitel, George Clooney, Quentin Tarantino (who also wrote the script), Juliette Lewis, Cheech Marin, Danny Trejo and Hayek. The film was debatable since Rodriquez used a non -union team and opened to combined criticisms. However, he has a favorite of the crowd of horror B. The film earned Clooney a Saturn prize for best actor and Tarantino a nomination for Razzie for the worst actor. You have to hire here.
Interview With A Vampire is one of several vampire movies that is eclipsed by a TV version of the material. This isn’t a list of TV shows, but if you enjoy vampire media and Anne Rice’s The Vampire Chronicles, the TV show Interview With A Vampire is a must-watch (and is a much more interesting adaption of the story).
The film version of Interview With A Vampire follows a vampire who tells his story to a reporter in 1990s San Francisco. Through this interview, the audience learns about his life with another vampire in the 1790s in Louisiana and their labored attempts to create a family. While it was nominated for two Oscars, the film received mixed reviews. The film feels like it lacks depth and is almost too sanitized (especially regarding LGBTQ themes). Directed by Neil Jordan, Interview With A Vampire stars Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, Stephen Rea, Antonio Banderas, Christian Slater and Kirsten Dunst. It was available to rent here.
Another film that have been overshadowed by a TV show that came after it, What We Do In Shadows, is a mockumentary horror comedy from New Zealand. While the show with the same name (developed from the film) is better than the film, the two are closer in quality than Buffy the Vampire Slayer or Interview With A Vampire.
Co-written and co-directed by Jermaine Clement and Taika Waitit, the film follows three vampire roommates and the documentary crew documenting their struggles with modern life. It stars Clement, Waititi, Jonathan Brugh, Cori Gonzalez-Macuer, Stu Rutherford and Rhys Darby. What We Do In Shadows is based on a 2005 short film called What We Do in the Shadows: Interviews with Some Vampires. The film, short and show are all very funny and inventive for the genre. The film version is available to rent here.
Bram Stoker Dracula is one of the many shots of the novel Vintage. This edition is an exuberant, star and detailed story. Directed through Francis Ford Coppola, the movie Gary Oldman, Winona Ryder, Anthony Hopkins and Keanu Reeves.
The film nominated for 4 Academy Awards for its production and design and won 3 of them. It is bravely the only vampire film to win an academy award (although others have been nominated). The film is also a workplace and critical success. Many have questioned the casting of Reeves, which has been overcome through their co -colors. Ryder shared later interviews that she and Reeves still referred to the other as “husband and wife” in the text because they married in the film through a genuine. Romanian priest, making them married technically in the church. You have to hire here.
The Quarter of Kathryn Bigelow is a western one about a cowboy who falls in love with a vampire and will have to register in his thirsty gang of blood. The cinema is Adrian Pasard, Jenny Wright, Bill Paxton, Lance Henriksen and Jenette Goldstein.
While Near Dark came out during a 1980s vampire media boom, it was hard to secure funding or audiences for a Western, and the film performed poorly at the box office. However, it has taken on a cult following. The film has a lot of great imagery and will delight fans of vampire, biker and Western movies. Unfortunately, it is currently not on streaming.
Abbott and Costello meet Frankenstein are the first of several horror comedy cars with the Universal Pictures duo. There is something glorious about Lugosi adapt his vintage character to a parody movie. When the film opened to positive criticism, not all fans. Chaney Jr. said about it: “[I enjoyed horror videos when there is an idea and sympathy. Then they have become through many.

Directed through Ariane Louis-Seice, the French Canadian film presents Sara Montpetit, Félix-Antoine Bénard, Steve Laplante and Sophie Cadieux. He was a favorite in the movie’s holiday circuit and continued to win the most productive original script in the Canadian Screen Awards. You have to transmit here.
While George A. Romero is more synonymous with zombie films, his movie “Vampire”, Martin, is the type of bloody social observation for which he is known. We can say that Martin would not have to count as a vampire movie, because he is a serial killer. The film follows a young boy convinced that he is a vampire. Even without crocodiles or powers, he tracks and murdered women to drink their blood, but after having moved to Pennsylvania, it plans to reform.
Martin comes with content warnings for suicide, violation and murder. However, he feels like an art film combined with a comedian book. The film was also Romero’s favorite in his own film. Add a new intensity point to the horror icon. Dario Argento edited the film for the European market (a little as he did for Night of the Living Dead), nicknamed in Italian and launched it in 1978 Wampyr. Unfortunately, it is not transmitting.
If you have not noticed the Abigail trailer or has not heard of it, look at it before reading this entry. Even its inclusion in this list looks like a precautionary spoiler (however, unfortunately it was also spoiled in the film’s trailer). Abigail follows a team that kidnaps a girl; However, their plans to achieve it are derailing when they are informed that anything in space is not human.
The film stars Melissa Barrera, Dan Stevens, Kathryn Newton, Giancarlo Esposito and Angus Cloud (one of two films released posthumously after his tragic death in 2023). It is an influential painting in the genre of vampires and identifies to encourage gender with a young sexual attraction, leading to a boom for adolescents. It’s Campy and, above all, fun. You must have to hire here.

Directed through Spencer Maybee, the film takes five years after the web series’ occasions and follows Carmilla and Laura, then, an old flame threatens Carmilla’s new humanity. The Cinema Carmilla presents Elise Bauman and Natasha Ngovanlis.
While lesbian vampire videos (or implicit lesbians) are not new, the movie Carmilla takes it in a new direction. He demands archetype situations used in past films such as Rebecca or hunger and the gothic terror tropes that have generated them. For those who do not know the beginning of Lysbian British’s novel through Carmilla, it may be useful to watch the Internet series or the movie not related to Carmilla 2019 before watching the movie Carmilla. Lately it is transmitting here.
The Vampire of the Danish film teacher Carl Theodor Dreyer is a Gothic German horror and his first non -silent movie. The film follows the accommodation that is attracted through a mysterious castle of shadows. The film Julian West, Maurice Schutz, Rena Mandel and Sybille Schmitz.
Although the film is a “talkie”, much of the tale happens through name cards, which gives it an almost silent feel. First, it earned poor reviews, and the early public even booed it. However, it has been re-evaluated and is considered a must-have film in Hitale’s horror cinema. The film must be had here.
Cronos is an independent Mexican horror film and the debut as director of Guillermo del Toro. The film follows a guy who has an immortal life through an old Cyborg beetle; However, it also provides a year -year -old year. The cinema stars Federico Luppi and Ron Perlguy.

A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night is a Persian Western vampire film by Ana Lily Amirpour. The film follows a young vampire who preys on men who disrespect women. It feels like a Spaghetti Western meets a German Expressionist horror in a feminist way. That might sound odd (and maybe it is); however, it all works.
The film stars Sheila Vand, Aash Mara Andi, Mozhan Marnò, Dominic Rains and Marshall Manesh. It was decided to evaluate the next program at the Sundance Film Festival 2014 and since then has some of a cult classic, especially among vampire fans. Have to hire here.
The 3 films in Blade’s trilogy have a committed basis, but without a doubt, Blade II is the best. The film follows The Holder Blade, a half -colored hybrid / half vampire, who will have to suspend his search for vampires to join them to avoid a new monstrous enemy.
Based on the Blade comedian strips, Blade’s first film is also Marvel’s first movie. Blade II followed this good fortune with a forged cash work (and combined criticism). Directed through Guillermo Del Toro, the film presents Wesley Snipes, Kris Kristafferson and Ron Perlman. It is an action horror movie that knows precisely what it needs to be and offers there. You must have here.
Nosferatu is based on the 1922 film of the same name. However, it also adds elements of Dracula (both the novel, which 1922’s Nosferatu was also loosely based on, and multiple movie versions of the count character). The film follows the familiar story of a Transylvanian count who leaves his castle to bring death to a city and goes after the beautiful Ellen (or Mina in Dracula). Written and directed by Robert Eggers, the film stars Lily-Rose Depp, Bill Skarsgård, Nicholas Hoult, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Emma Corrin and Willem Dafoe.
There are some additions to this edition of Nosferatu that really work. This adds more to the character Ellen / Mina and his appointment with Count Orlok. It is also very sexual. Although the vampire genre occasionally has issues of sexual preference that are cooked there, this film takes it to an almost comic point. Although a hundred years after the German expressionist period, many of the most productive images feel like a love letter not only for Nosferatu in 1922, but for other silent German expressionist films such as Dr. Calagari and Faust’s closet. However, the film also has slight false steps. The Depp game is uncommon. It is imaginable that it was made as a selection of the mind of the mind to reflect the styles of actors of the silent era, but at all times it does not work. The original Nosferatu was also criticized by anti -Semitic images, and this film, sometimes, has the impression of anticipating these images without having anything to say. You must have to hire here.
There are 3 versions of Nosferatu, and they are all good. However, if you are interested in medium vampire, the original is essential. Although silent films can be a complicated sale for the fashion audience, Nosferatu is a masterpiece of the German expressionist horror of director F. W. Murnau
Sometimes it is also called Nosferatu: a sinfonia of horror, the film is an unofficial story of Bram Stoker’s novel in 1897 Dracula. Although the film has differences compared to the novel, Stoker’s widow continued to chase and an approval judgment ruled that all copies of the film were destroyed. Although the maximum of copies have been destroyed, some foreign traces have survived and a long recovery procedure was carried out to save the vampire classic. The film presents Max Schreck, Gustav Von Wangenheim and Greta Schröder. Nosferatu is still a vintage cult and horror. You must have here.

Directed through Tomas Alfredson, the film featured Kåre Hedebrant, Lina Leandersson, de Ragnar, Ika North and Peter Carlberg. The film is based on the novel of the same call by John Ajvide Lindqvist (who also wrote the screenplay).
The film was named the horror movie number 1 of the 2000s through Bloody degusting. There is a new American version of the film (2010, Let me int,) which is also good. However, the Swedish original is better. The film is visually rich and emotionally deep without sacrificing its horror roots. You have to transmit on platforms, adding free Kanopy.
While ganja
Some viewers will know the film as Blood Couple. Ganja & Hess was the only U.S. film selected for the 1973 Cannes Film Festival’s Critics Week. While it received a good reception in France, it fared less well in America. Poor reviews led to the film being sold to Heritage Pictures, a grindhouse company in the U.S. The company recut the film and released it as Blood Couple. While Ganja and Hess was directed by Bill Gun, he took his name off the recut version. The film stars Marlene Clark and Duane Jones. It is only one of two films where Jones played the lead role; the other, Night of the Living Dead, is more famous. Spike Lee remade Ganja and Hess in 2014 under the name Da Sweet Blood of Jesus. However, you can’t beat the original. It is available to stream on multiple platforms including free on Kanopy.
Thirst is a romantic horror that captures the sexual themes often explored in vampire media. The film follows a priest who selflessly elects to be infected with a virus in hopes of helping cure it. However, the virus triggers a lust for blood and sex, leading to an intense extramarital affair.
While it is a “romance,” warning: it’s a little more Dracula than Twilight. The movie stars Song Kang-ho and Kim Ok-bin. The film was director Park Chan-wook’s first film to screen in the U.S. and, perhaps more notably, the first mainstream Korean film to feature full-frontal male nudity. Roger Ebert said of the film and its director after Thirst won the Jury Prize at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival, “Park Chan-wook of South Korea is today’s most successful director of horror films, perhaps because there’s always more than horror to them. He seems to be probing alarming depths of human nature. Maybe that’s why he can simultaneously be celebrated on fanboy horror sites and win the Jury Prize.” It is available to rent here.
Familiarity transforms horror into comedy. Even if you haven’t noticed 1931’s Dracula, it will look familiar. It was referenced and parodied, but more than that, it’s so influential in the kind of horror and vampire that it’s fundamental. Bela Lugosi’s symbol as Dracula is so culturally ingrained that it is almost considered acquired as much as its functionality and the film, in general.
Directed through Tod Browning, the film is based on the novel of the same name. Follow the transitvana countd account while wearing a genuine real estate agent to come to London and chase his next girlfriend. Producer Carl Laemmle Jr. studied Nosferatu since 1922, and directly influenced the film. Dracula even includes an almost filmed scene for the silent film that does not seem in Dracula’s novel. The cinema stars Lugosi, David Manners, Helen Chandler, Dwight Frye and Edward Van Sloan. There is also a Spaniard a Spanish edition of the film directed through George Melford and starring Carlos Villarías. The Spanish edition (published as Dracula of 1931) uses the same sets and costumes still filmed at night after the English edition wrapped every day. When the Spanish edition has been considered as a lost film for several decades, any of the editions has been preserved in the Library of Congress. A third silent edition also designed for theaters that had not installed sound technology. The movie must be here.
The end
From twinkling young novels to gothic horror classics, vampires have had extremely joyful movie audiences since the silent era. Then he sinks into this exciting genre.
There are five films in the Twilight Saga franchise. The first film, Twilight, released in 2008, and then, every year, a new twilight movie released from 2008 to 2012. After the first movie, there is the Twilight saga: New Luna, Eclipse, Breaking Dawn Part 1 and Breaking Dawn Part 2.
While none of the films are very well regarded by critics, the first film and Breaking Dawn Part 2, are tied on Rotten Tomatoes for the highest-rated Twilight movie at 49%.
While maximum vampire films belong to the genre of horror, many are threatening instead of fear. This is probably due to the origins of the Gothic horror of the genre. However, if you are looking for intelligent fear, the 1992 Cronos through the director Guillermo del Toro have disturbing and disturbing images. Another harvest of the genre, the series in series through George A. Romero, the 1977 series in the Martin series, is terrifying, some of that comes from the vintage vampire culture.
For those looking for a more fashionable and gorey edition of The Horror of Vampires, the 30 Days of 2007 is a good choice. From director David Slade, the film follows a small Alaskan town that is attacked through vampires one polar night in a single month. It’s a bit asymmetrical as a movie, but it has a giant distribution with Josh Hartnett, Melissa George, Danny Huston, Ben Foster, and Mark Boone Junior.
Both Nosferatu and Dracula are based on the 1897 Dracula novel by Bram Stoker. The first Nosferatu film came out in 1922, while the most famous early film version of Dracula (where the character is played by Bela Lugosi) came to theaters in 1931. However, it seems wrong to say that Nosferatu is older even cinematically.
Drakula Halála de Károly Lajthay would possibly be greater than Nosferatu. Unfortunately, Drakula Halála is a lost movie. Some have affirmed that the film premiered in Vienna in 1921, which makes it the oldest film edition of Dracula. Record of the film that will be launched in Hungary in 1923. It is also a value of value, Drakula Halála is uniquely based on Stoker Dracula and not percentage many points of the plot.
