Adam Woodyatt is well known for betting on Ian Beale on the BBC soap opera EastEnders. He played his iconic role for more than 3 decades after his first appearance in 1985. Earlier this week he announced that Adam had separated from his wife Beverley Sharp after the age of 22. years together, but what is the explanation for their separation?

Adam and his wife Beverley married in a personal rite at Disney World in Florida in 1998.
The couple have two children together, their 27-year-old daughter Jessica and their 23-year-old son Samuel.

A BBC source told the Daily Star: “It will be for the audience not to have Ian on screen for so long.
“But it’ll be great for Adam to have a little time after running so long in the series. “
An informant spoke that Adam took the time to move from the long-running soap opera to Digital Spy.
They told the publication: “Ian is going to be off screen in a wonderful setting.
“The bosses are still discreet, but we don’t know how long this will last. “
