Adele says the final performances of her two-year Las Vegas residency will mark the beginning of a “huge opportunity” for the 16-time Grammy winner, who said she will be taking a break from performing and has no plans to release new music soon.
Adele, whose 2011 album “21” propelled her to global success, told a German TV channel that she plans to focus on her life outside of music after her concert residency at Las Vegas’ Caesars Palace ends in November.
Adele is vacationing from her residence to spend the summer in Germany (which includes 10 shows in Munich) and will return to Las Vegas in October for 10 more shows.
The record-breaking artist, now 36, has released new music since November 2021, when she released the album “30,” and told the German broadcaster that she “had no plans to make new music. “
Adele has performed more than a hundred performances in Las Vegas in the past two years and has extended her residency, which is going viral for its candid exchanges with enthusiasts and cheeky banter, several times beyond its originally scheduled end date.
