Saturday morning shooting of a 7-year-old Pensacola woman who died on her porch is still under investigation, police said, local television station WKRG reported.
A police spokesman said the victim shot another child. The way the boy received the gun is still under investigation. Police are still investigating whether it was an accident,” the station reported on Saturday.
Aniyah Nettles was betting on the porch of her home with several other youngsters when the shooting happened, The Pensacola police reportedly told the WEAR television channel.
In addition to finding out if the child would possibly have been guilty of the shooting, investigators were also investigating whether an adult man “found hidden in the backyard of the house” had pulled the trigger, the station reported.
The guy questioned about the incident, but no fees were charged as a component of the investigation, according to the station. An attempt to contact the police for an update failed.

Meanwhile, Aniyah’s grandmother, Katina Nettles, was devastated by the tragic incident.
“I’m a damage, I’m a damage to my baby,” Nettles told the station. “I jumped up and ran outside, and she just lied there. I saw the blood. I didn’t know where she had been shot because if I’d done anything to save my baby, I would have done it.”
She told the station that her granddaughter was preparing to begin the first year.
“She’s a smart student. They gave him a certificate and stuff, he enjoyed doing his job,” Nettles said. “I enjoyed smiling.”
On Monday, Pensacola Mayor Grover Robinson told reporters that the city had recently hired paintings with network paintings to locate tactics to lessen gun violence.
