Australia’s Director of Strategic Analysis, Michael Shoebridge, spoke about Foreign Minister Penny Wong’s upcoming visit to Israel next week.
The Foreign Minister will also visit parts of the West Bank as she continues to explore the option of a bilateral ceasefire.
“The deputy prime minister said the region is a precedent for Australia, we are focusing here on the Indo-Pacific,” Shoebridge told Sky News presenter Caleb Bond.
“And now the Foreign Minister is trying to show himself and be taken seriously, but I don’t see how that makes sense.
“The government is inconsistent in its priorities. “
