Like it or not, we couldn’t scroll aimlessly without tutorials on milk makeup or glazed donuts flooding our social media screens. Then, the blueberry milk nails that sparked the good-looks debate of the year: why do we call good-looking trends after lunch?
Food and good looks have long been connected to a history that dates back centuries, with many cultures employing food as a key element for skincare, hair, and makeup needs. Fast forward to the last two decades, when brands capitalized on our love. by delicious and we started naming their good-looking products after our favorite desserts, fruits, and more. “It all started with nail polish or makeup brands giving their products fun names, like Big Apple Red, Funny Bunny or Ballet Slipper, and we were obsessed with that.
