Animated series The Owl House makes history with Disney’s first bisexual lead character

Disney now has its first ever bisexual lead character, thanks to The Disney Channel animated series The Owl House.

After the beginning of a recent episode of the series, the show’s author, Dana Terrace, revealed on Twitter that the show’s main character, Luz Noceda, a Dominican-American woman, is definitely bisexual.

The Owl House, which premiered in January, focuses on Luz, 14, who discovers a portal to a fantasy world and tries to satisfy her witch dream while going to school.

Owl House author Dana Terrace has revealed that the main character Luz Noceda (right) is bisexual after a recent script explaining Luz’s relationship with an Amity student (left).

Terrace tweeted that, in the first place, he was told not to come with LGBTQ relations in the series, but that he struggled to form them.
