Best Cheap TV Deals in August 2024

There is no big holiday in August, but you can still find TV deals in stores. I’ve been following TV deals for over a decade and I know how to spot a smart deal among a mediocre daily discount.

Currently, Best Buy has some of the most productive TV deals if you’re shopping for groceries on a budget. The store offers a variety of smart TVs starting at $74. This is one of the lowest upfront costs observed for smart TVs. Meanwhile, Walmart offers 4K TVs starting at $148. La sale includes some of the most productive OLED TVs tested, such as the LG C3.

To find more more productive TV deals, we’ve rounded up today’s best deals from all your favorite retailers, adding Best Buy, Amazon, Walmart, and more. From budget 4K TVs to the most productive TVs of 2024, here are the most productive reasonable TV deals right now.

The first television sales of the Labor Day season are here. Retailers like Amazon, Walmart, and Best Buy are slashing the price of some of our favorite 2024 TVs. Best Buy, for example, has OLED TVs starting at $797, which is the cheapest price all summer. Be sure to honor our Labor Day. Sales policy for TV offers until the end of summer.

Don’t have room for a giant TV? Perfect for a study or guest bedroom, these affordable TV deals under 49 inches are compatible with even the smallest rooms.

The 55-inch is the new 42-inch, so it’s no surprise that most TV deals are for larger TVs in this length range. While a few years ago, a 55-inch 4K TV cost upwards of $1,000, today you can get a counterfeit 55-inch 4K set for about $350 or less.

If you have the space (and budget) for a giant TV, there are dozens of features to choose from. Here are our favorite reasonable TV deals of the moment.

Best budget TV of 2024

Available screen sizes: 55, 65, inches | Screen type: LED-LCD | Refresh Rate: 60Hz | HDMI ports: four HDMI 2. 0 | Size: 57. 1 x 33. 1 x 3. 1 inches | Weight: four 3. 1 pounds

The Hisense U8K tops our list of the most productive budget TVs of 2024. In our review of the Hisense U6K mini-LED TV, we said that the Editor’s Choice TV is one of the most productive budget TVs tested in years.

For starters, it offers an extraordinary symbol of your value. Its Mini-LED backlighting provides spectacular contrast, while its clean quantum dots ensure well-saturated colors. Add to that Google TV and VRR for consoles and you get a lot of better features. at a much lower price than competing televisions.

That said, we’ve found slight blur in HD content like Sunday Night Football and the 60Hz local refresh rate is a factor for gamers looking to maximise the frame rates of their favourite games.   However, those small issues aside, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a better TV at a lower price.

Roku’s first QLED TV is a bargain

Available Screen Sizes: 55, 65, Inch | Display Type: QLED | Refresh rate: 60 Hz | HDMI ports: four HDMI 2. 0 | Size: 33. 1 x 57 x four inches | Weight: 36. 7 lbs

The Roku Plus series 4K QLED TV is the streaming giant’s first foray into the TV area after a long concentration on software and set-top boxes/plug-ins. And what a façade it is. In addition to offering a ton of screen for their starting price of $499, those TVs also provide oddly smart picture and sound quality, two things that are mediocre in budget packages.

We also like the fact that they don’t look cheap. A gray steel frame surrounds the screen on all sides, measuring less than an eighth of an inch on the left, right, and top. There’s also a chrome Roku logo on the front and center.

The TV uses quantum dot LED generation to produce bright colors and increased brightness. In our testing, we found that the TV lived up to Roku’s claims. The symbol’s vibrancy begins to fade the more you move from the center of the screen, but it took a while for the show to seem unbearable.

The ultimate TV with Amazon Alexa inside

Screen Size: Inches | HDMI Ports: 3 | Refresh rate: 60 Hz | HDR Support: HDR10 | Dimensions (without stand): 28. 7 x 49. 1 x 3. 7 inches

The Toshiba C350 4K Fire TV Edition is one of Amazon’s budget TVs, which has a big promotional point: Prime Video and Amazon Alexa voice controls are built in. Combined with Prime Video’s extensive catalog of videos and shows, you have one of the most productive voice assistants on the market, as close as your remote control. And it’s not a half-measure: Alexa on your TV can do everything Alexa can do on Amazon Echo, with capabilities for smart home control, weather and restaurant location, and more. All of this is included in the Toshiba 55-inch 4K TV, which has an affordable price tag of under $500.

The transfer of last year’s Westinghouse models to Toshiba brings all sorts of improvements, such as improved demo quality, HDRArray, and a more subtle user experience, but it’s held back by poor picture and sound quality. HDR only underscores the most frustrating thing about most Amazon TVs: No matter how smart Amazon’s Fire TV is as a smart TV platform, the TV also wants to stand out on its own merits.

In our tests, the C350 produced an image that’s smart enough that you can enjoy what’s on screen without being hampered by quality issues. It’s bright enough to see the day and generally produces smart colors.

Best OLED TV Price Found

Screen size: 48, 55, | HDMI ports: 3 | Refresh Rate: 60Hz | HDR Support: HDR10 | Dimensions (without stand): 24. 4 x 42. 1 x 1. 8 inches

Normally on sale for $599, the LG A2 48-inch OLED 4K TV is one of the most productive value TVs you can find. We praise LG’s budget TV for delivering “a wonderfully colorful picture and powerful sound along with a sleek, intuitive interface. “Although the A2 had a refresh rate of just 60Hz, the fast movements seemed crisp and sleek unless they were in scenes of excessive activity, and they were never distracting at all. We also like the TV’s low demo lag, which gamers will appreciate. (Although gamers deserve to note that there are no HDMI 2. 1 ports. )

The A2 offers image quality that gently surpasses that of the familiar LCD screens most of us are used to. It supports Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG, display formats that help the content you see on the screen look better. Plus, it integrates seamlessly with voice assistants like Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, allowing you to seamlessly navigate your favorite screens and channels with just your voice. The LG webOS platform that the TV runs on is also excellent.
