CALGARY – Alberta’s Energy Regulator says a spill at Suncor Energy’s Fort Hills oil sands site lasted more than a year, releasing approximately 10,000 cubic metres of surface runoff from a containment pond. More than a quarter of government workers have not taken vacation in the past 12 months, according to New Eagle Hill Consulting.

As the holidays approach, a new study from Eagle Hill Consulting shows that a significant portion of the government workforce is not taking vacations due to the expense and pressure placed on them to perform. More than a quarter (26%) of public servants say they haven’t taken a vacation in the past year, a particularly high figure among Gen Z and low-income employees.
