TIVERTON – Rhode Island may be the smallest state, but its food scene is all about flavors.
So it’s no surprise that Guy Fieri, prominent entertainer and self-proclaimed mayor of Flavortown, took the road to Little Rhody last week.
The Food Network star has been to several restaurants in Rhode Island and Massachusetts on his show “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” over the years, and now returns for a few seconds while filming segments of his new show “Triple D. “Nation. “
One of the Fieri favorites to be on display is Evelyn’s Drive-in in Tiverton, which ran during limited hours Friday (takeout window until 3 p. m. m. ) to host your special guest for a day of filming at the popular beachfront seafood destination.

Evelyn is no stranger to attention. The summer tourist destination has gained regular visits from “Phantom Gourmet” in the past and has been featured on “Today,” which has helped give its season a welcome boost.

“Triple D” audiences can expect close-ups and reviews of some of Evelyn’s classics, such as her seafood dish, BLT lobster, giant scallops, fish soup, clam cakes and Buddha’s chocolate dessert (a homemade milk chocolate and almond candy), according to Juana.
According to a Facebook post via Evelyn, it is expected to air in June 2024. “Triple D Nation” will air Friday at nine p. m. in the food web.
The countdown starts to the last day of Evelyn’s season this Saturday, so Fieri got there at just the right time.
While traveling in the area, Fieri allegedly visited the Crazy Burger Cafe.

So far, there’s no indication that the South Main Street ad is part of its “Triple D” programming. However, Patti made headlines this week when she announced that the restaurant, the last Polish restaurant in Fall River, is selling.
While Fieri continues his excursion in Ocean State, other former “Diners, Drive-ins and Dives” that may appear in Triple D include Aunt Carrie’s in Narragansett, Louis Family Restaurant in Providence, Edgewood Cafe in Cranston, Anthony’s Seafood in Middletown, Angelo’s Civita. Farnese in Providencia and the Mediterraneo Caffe in Providencia.
