Celebrity Gogglebox returns to Channel 4 on Friday, July 12 with its sixth episode. The much-loved series has seen comedians Rob Beckett and Tom Allen, Spice Girl Mel C and Paul O’Neill, as well as Sue Johnston and Ricky Tomlinson from The Royle Family return to screens.
In the exhibition, a group of armchair critics give their reviews and reactions to the week’s television. On Friday night, stars watched the general election results, the new Netflix documentary America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders, The Mole’s second series on the streaming service. and Daniel Radcliffe’s 2012 film, The Woman in Black.
Other celebrities who returned to the episode were Rylan Clark and his mother Linda, Stacey Solomon and Joe Sh, Gyles Brandreth and LuLu, Shaun Ryder and Bez, and father-son duo Martin and Roman Kemp. But when Channel Four’s audience tuned in to the feel-good favorite of the week, they were temporarily disappointed when the channel took to social media to announce the latest episode of the series.
Asked why the celebrity spin-off is running longer, one fan took to X, formerly known as Twitter, and wrote: “It’s already the last one. Why not do a little more than 6 episodes?”
While repeating: “What!? This has only been going on for about four weeks. “Rylan also took to Instagram to share a behind-the-scenes snapshot of his living room, writing, “Last Gogglebox tonight. Thank you team. “
A disappointed fan reacted, “I can’t wait to see tonight’s episode!I can’t, it’s the last one!” While others added, “I hope there will be more Celebrity Gogglebox series soon because I love this series so much. “
And a third commented, “Oh, it makes me unhappy because I think you and your mother are so funny. You probably want your own show. “
While Gogglebox, the celebrity spin-off, is over, Gogglebox will return with fan favorites by adding Dave and Shirley Griffiths and The Malones in September.
