She responded to him talking about what was “appropriate” by leaning over with the picture and asking him: “What about that one? That’s not appropriate, is it?”
Viewers are now desperate to know what the picture was – begging the This Morning star, 60, to tell them.
One tweeted her: “So Ruth what did you show Eamonn that was inappropriate on tonight’s gogglebox.”
Another joked: “Ruth with a bit of blue on her phone.”
The moment came as they were watching TV on the sofa at their house in Surrey, with Eamonn complaining that Ruth was on her phone looking at pictures of herself.
He said: “That’s nice, for an older woman. I mean it’s not… it’s age-appropriate for a woman your age.”
She then skipped to another picture and showed Eamonn saying: “That’s not appropriate, is it?” leaving him giggling.
With her 60-year-old husband temporarily at a rare loss for words, Ruth told him: “Yeah – exactly” before turning back to the TV.
The couple are one of the new arrivals on Celebrity Gogglebox, but had a rocky start when Eamonn publicly blasted the show for not airing an emotional scene where he discussed his dad’s death.
