Between those two tough performers, there are several Grammy Award nominees, a Coachella headliner, and a Disney princess live. Known to many as sister duo Chlöe x Halle, they have since forged their own artistic path. Now, Chlöe and Halle Bailey intend to take advantage of the offer and look to the future with their burgeoning music and acting careers, while also finding strategies to reboot and recharge.
I sat down with the Bailey sisters to talk about their most recent projects, their new role as Core Hydration’s celebrity spokesperson, and to witness the truly incredible bond that exists between those two hard-working people.
Or you want to be very careful about the types of brands you partner with, with your own brands. So why essential hydration?
HB: My sister and I actually use a lot of water. We drink a lot of water on a daily basis in this industry. It’s actually simple to burn out, to get caught up in the speed of things, the schedule, and how temporary it all has to happen. Sometimes we have to take care of ourselves and forget about ourselves. So we’ve been enjoying the Core water throughout.
It was literally a lovely thing to do when this partnership was created because we literally feel like we’re being fair by caring about such an amazing logo that we actually use. My sister and I are looking to sign up because we know that fitness is very vital and we give this message to other people so that they don’t forget about themselves, basically, and use hydration for that.
I’m curious, how can you take care of just your physical structure and also your intellectual health, while juggling the other projects you continue to do?
CB: Well, it’s to hydrate, of course, because without it, your body can’t serve as it should. With all the flights we have, all the travel, all the schedules so busy. It’s a time when your body collapses, but if you stay properly rested (I usually carry mine on planes or car trips), I can sleep anywhere like a rock. When you rest and hydrate properly, you’re much calmer. set up for success.
Plus, while you’re working, you want your stamina. I take a lot of supplements in the morning to keep my body healthy, because again, we’re not robots and if we don’t eat properly, we can’t do the task we want. To give a thousand percent of ourselves, I want to be compatible and healthy.
I’ve been talking to your enthusiasts on social media. You all need to hear more music from the two of you, as I’m sure you know. What is the state of your musical creations as a whole at the moment? Can we expect more music from you soon?
CB: Absolutely! Well, I’m super proud of my sister and I’m also super proud of myself. We’ve got some great solo projects this year and probably early next year will be when our band’s music comes out, which will be exciting. I can’t wait and I know the enthusiasts can’t wait either!
Halle and Chloe Bailey
As you, Halle, and Chlöe progress in their music careers and in other spaces of the entertainment industry, how do you realize that your artistic interests are replaced as time goes on and you have more and more experiences?
HB: yes, wow! Well, honestly, it was a great trip. For me, I’m venturing more into the world of theater and doing a lot of acting projects. Right now, I’m in Virginia shooting this really cool movie called Atlantis. I think as I get older, my creativity expands and I have more confidence in myself and my abilities, in my sister’s. Or we feel: Wow, okay, we’re here! Let’s do more. Let’s do all we can. What else can we do?What else makes us happy? It’s a lovely adventure to do, but music, of course, will be my first love. I know it’s also my sister’s first love, but it’s great, as you get older, to think, ‘Wow, this is a lovely movie to make. ‘Be a component of: What character can I play? What can this character teach me about myself? What do I want to be informed about for the future? How can this help me?Actually, it’s a lovely thing.
Chlöe, what about you and your evolution?
CB: I would say it progresses naturally as I grow as a human being, you know?See where the wind blows and where it will take me. I feel like as a creative, you have to be fair to yourself and your vulnerabilities, and to do that, you have to live your life, so that’s what I do!I’m just trying to live well.
Speaking of life, even like last week, it was wonderful to see how you are sisters and professionals. I saw you were playing Coachella, Chlöe and Halle were there in the crowd for you. You’ve cheated on her with her movie The Little Mermaid and other things she’s been doing recently. So how has this healthy balance between you as sisters and as professionals helped you grow together?
CB: It’s actually an honor to watch my sister grow up the way she did. I’m sure I’m proud of her. I think one of my sister’s proudest moments was recently at Essence Women in Hollywood – she was revered and being able to see all of her accomplishments up close and personal like that, literally seeing a gigantic picture of her posted – she just completed so much and I was just a big ball of tears. I felt like the proudest big sister, especially since she is an amazing mom and is still an amazing sister, as well as an artist and actress. In fact, it was inspiring to see and I felt so pleased to see her get the flowers she deserved. So, I think it was one of my proudest moments as a big sister.

HB: Oh my God! That’s cute, sister.
I would definitely say the most recent and amazing thing that has happened is the filming of Chlöe at Coachella. Oh, my God! I was literally a fan the whole time and have been so proud of my sister, yet she continues to outdo herself every time and is literally amazing. So, I had a really wonderful time at Coachella watching her. And I was looking at her in awe because she’s been my biggest inspiration, ever since I was little, but I think I see your support system, your guidance, your protective blanket all the time. Life: Just be a passing and amazing figure on the level and observe. She grows and grows. It’s so beautiful. So it was my favorite moment and it will go down in history as one of mine.

Or you have a giant, unwavering social media following that, in fact, is reflected in each and every post, photo, and ad you share. So how can you strike a healthy balance between keeping your fans informed and engaged, while not letting that be your only fear today?
CB: For me, I try to keep my life incredibly personal because it’s hard to want to close the door when you’ve opened it. I still feel like a young woman, so I don’t need to be under the microscope: I’m being watched in each and every little thing I do, while I’m still figuring out what I’m doing. So, for me, I definitely have moments where I review. I have moments where I love social media and I’m obsessed with that, and then I also have moments where I think, You know what?Today I don’t feel like posting on Snapchat. No I need to do that, so it definitely puts limits on me.
Halle, what about you?
I agree with my sister: I think learning when to be offline is really smart for intellectual health. It’s not simple because we have our phones. That’s what we do when we’re bored, it’s like passing the time, but infrequently you just have to go outside, get out into nature, take a walk, sit in the sun and reset yourself and you realize how much better you feel. So yes, it’s just a matter of choosing when to stay offline, but as an artist, it’s also great to be out there and post about what’s to come, but you also have a team that can do it for you, if you’re not in your mindset to do it. So, I think there’s the most productive of both worlds.
Two definite questions for any of you. I know, of course, Chlöe, you’ve just spent your first weekend at Coachella. Halle, you said you’re working on a movie called Atlantis. Are there any other special projects you’re working on right now or about to start? Can you share with us on Forbes to stay tuned soon?
HB: Yes, I’m here in Virginia, screening this new film over the next few months. I’m excited.
Impressive. And Chloe?
CB: So, I’m getting ready for my second weekend at Coachella. [This week] I finished this TV show that I filmed called Fight Night. It’s been exciting and great. So yes, I’m in for a lot of interesting things. Like I said, I let myself be guided by the wind!
The last thing for any of you is this: when you’re not focused on your career or your upcoming professional endeavors, what do you find that brings you maximum joy, satisfaction, and convenience in your current world?
HB: I know mine! Mine would be my baby. My baby Halo makes me feel so happy – it’s the most productive thing ever. That’s because I bring a whole new world of goals and journeys. It makes me need to be better every day for him, you know??

Absolutely. Cloe?
CB: I think for me it’s definitely the moment when I can become one with nature. It just reminds me that life’s messes don’t matter and that the things you allow yourself to lose shouldn’t have as much weight or power. So every time I realize how small I am compared to this world, it reminds me that there’s more to life than superficial things, competition, the entertainment industry and all that kind of stuff. That’s not life, it’s peace, happiness and joy, and I need to be a reflection of that. That’s why I need to be known.
