Once again, the school football moving portal opened this spring, and once again, Deion Sanders oversaw other roster renewal series with players coming in and out of other active preseasons before the start of 2024.
On the first day of the spring trade window opening, a total of 16 Buffaloes players entered their names into the portal, adding a five-star prospect who had a few words selected for the Bounty program on his way out. Here’s his rundown of who he is departing and arriving in Colorado this offseason.
The former five-star cornerback wasn’t much of a manufacturer in Colorado his first year, yet he leaves a program that “plays by clicks,” in his words, and hopes to find one where it’s headed. Be more evolved as a player.
The 6-foot-8, 10-game offensive lineman took over last season for the Buffs, but now leaves the team as arguably their most productive blocker.
The former Ohio State running back comes to Colorado after 663 yards and six touchdowns in two seasons.
OUT: Dylan Edwards. After Hayden’s arrival was announced, the Buffs guard put his call on the portal after a promising first season in which he scored five flexible touchdowns as a shooting guard and double-risk receiver.
A primary asset for Colorado, Pitt’s level-headed former running back is a key addition to the Seven Most Sensible, with forty-five total saves, a team-high 10. 5 TFL, four sacks and six runs a year ago.
The former Ohio defensive lineman is a major addition to the line, recording 14. 5 tackles for losses and 6. 5 sacks over the past two seasons.
The former Jackson State guard rushed for more than 1,000 yards and touchdowns two seasons ago and scored 3 times for 190 yards last year.
A vital addition to Texas’ offensive line that adds key intensity to a position Colorado needs.
