After an unprecedented year of chart dominance in 2023, country music happens to be enjoying a successful summer as Morgan Wallen and country newcomer Post Malone’s hit “I Had Some Help” conquer the Billboard Hot hundred, and other new country chart faces join in. Shaboozey and Beyoncé rack up huge sales and streams.
“I Had Some Help” topped the Billboard Hot 100 for a second week, Billboard reported Tuesday, just a week after its debut with the biggest overall streaming for a song in a single week since chart calculation methods were updated in September 2020.
Shaboozey takes the No. 4 spot on this week’s Hot Hundred with “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” his first solo appearance on the Billboard charts.
Shaboozey has collaborated in the past with Beyoncé on two songs from her album “Cowboy Carter,” which also topped the country charts and topped the Billboard 200 charts during the previous two weeks this year.
Country music continues to dominate Billboard’s two hundred album charts: Wallen’s “One Thing at a Time” (2023) and “Dangerous: The Double Album” (2021) rank No. 3 and No. 6, respectively, while the self-titled album ranks No. 8.
