Criss Angel reflects on the “hell” her 7-year-old son, Johnny Crisstopher, went through on his journey against cancer.

Reflecting on the experience, Angel recently revealed the “hardest part” in an interview with Extra.
“Seeing my son, you know, going through hell. Not understanding what was going on,” he explained, pointing to the time when Johnny’s cancer returned after his first brief remission in 2019. “My son had a type of cancer called ALL [B-Cell ALL Leukemia]. It’s 95% curable, but unfortunately someone had to make up for 5% and that’s why it relapsed. “

Angel told the outlet that he hoped Johnny would “be in remission forever,” as the magician now uses his platform to advocate and increase the budget for other families in the same situation.
“We have to go, you know, [persuade] the powers that be in government and look for more Investment Array. . . to locate a cureArray. . . And that’s what I hope ‘1095’ will do,” Angel added, referring to the short film he released documenting Johnny’s entire war on cancer.
Johnny was first diagnosed with leukemia in 2015 and had a brief remission before his father revealed in December 2019 that his son’s cancer had returned.
Last month, Angel released the nearly 14-minute short film titled “1095,” which shows the 1095 chemotherapy sessions needed to treat his son’s type of leukemia.

In the clip, Angel stores images of doctor visits, as well as emotional arguments between Angel and Benson, who are also parents to son Xristos Yanni, 2, and daughter Illusia Angelina, 3 months, about Johnny.
