Dancing On Ice host odds: Who could replace Holly?

The TV presenter does not appear to have cut all ties with ITV, after confirming in his statement from This Morning that he will see everyone next month “for the [British] Soap Awards”, which he has presented on ITV since 2006.

But enthusiasts have since speculated about his return to Dancing On Ice early next year alongside his former This Morning co-host Holly Willoughby, and whether he can return for a new series of The Cube at any time.

And if Phillip returns to the helm of Dancing On Ice, he’ll possibly want a new co-host if Holly leaves the show.

If Phillip also left the ice skating series, which airs every year at the beginning of the year, then Stephen Mulhern may be the best replacement.

The In For A Penny presenter is a 4/5 cut-price favourite to take on the role, and has delighted in having replaced Covid-stricken Phillip in February 2022, alongside Holly.

Dermot is 2/1 to be Holly’s new host spouse on Dancing on Ice, while former Big Brother’s Bit on the Side host Rylan Clark is the 3/1 favorite along with Jordan Banjo.

Jordan may be back on the minds of ITV bosses after completing second place on I’m A Celebrity South Africa recently, and he also has experience on Dancing on Ice, having been the show’s behind-the-scenes correspondent on ITV’s tenth series.

However, if ITV is for a presenter with a full resume of TV presentation credits, then Ben Shephard may be your man.

The Good Morning Britain co-host, which is a 5/1 hit, may also have unfinished business on Dancing on Ice after co-hosting the spin-off show Dancing on Ice: Friday with Coleen Nolan for a single series.

Other TV presenters who can make it to the ice are former Dancing on Ice contestant Kem Cetinay (15/1).

Like Jordan, the former Love Island star is a behind-the-scenes correspondent for series 11 and 12, but the heavy paintings of Dancing on Ice may come a little soon for him.

However, if Holly leaves Dancing on Ice, leaving Phillip without a new co-host, then Marvin’s wife, Rochelle Humes, might well be on ITV bosses’ more sensible wish list.

Rochelle and Phillip teamed up several times on This Morning when she upgraded Holly, and she only has 6/5 to update Holly on Dancing on Ice, before British Got Talent passes judgment on Alesha Dixon, who is 2/1.

Alison Hammond is 5/2, but is more likely to have a more normal role in This Morning.

Her friend and occasional This Morning host Josie Gibson is the third 4/1 favorite to succeed Holly on Dancing on Ice.

Like Ben, Christine Lampard may also have unfinished business on the ITV show.

She co-hosted Dancing on Ice along with Phillip from series seven to ninth, and is 11/2 away from returning.

Others likely to register for the verbal exchange are former Love Island presenter Laura Whitmore (6/1) and ITV2 dating presenter Maya Jama, who is 7/1 to upgrade Holly, while comedian Emily Atack is an 8/1 shot.

The Cube hasn’t been on TV since 2021, but if it were to return without Phillip at the helm, Paddy McGuinness could be a popular pick for ITV bosses.

Elsewhere, Vernon Kay, who is also touted as an imaginable replacement for Phillip in This Morning, is 7/2 for the job, while Rylan and comedian Mo Gilligan are 5/1, and Joel Dommett is a strange 7/1.
