Dave and Odette Annable are back, just over nine months after declaring their separation.
On Monday night, the couple posted photos and captions on Instagram, confirming their reconciliation with a sunny selfie. “2020. Not all of them are bad news. #TheAnnables,” they wrote next to the snapshot. On his wife’s message, Dave jokingly remarked, “My message is better.”
Dave, 40, and Odette, 35, have a daughter, Charlie Mae, who will turn five next month.
Brothers-Sisters actor and Supergirl actress married in a personal rite in Ojai, North Los Angeles, on October 10, 2010. After nine years of marriage, the couple announced in October that they were separating.
“It is with a heavy center that we have come to the mutual resolution to separate at this time,” they said in a set shared exclusively with PEOPLE at the time. “Our daughter is our greatest fear and we remain committed to joint parenting. We ask that you respect the privacy of our circle of family members at this time.”

The division came more than a month after Dave announced that he would retire from social media, which generated higher emotions of depression and anxiety.
“It turns out that all the articles and science about how Instagram can cause depression and anxiety are real,” Dave wrote in an August 2019 Instagram post, which has since been removed. “I say goodbye to all the vacationS I’m not, all that time I’ve spent scrolling without thinking, all the anxiety that can accompany the follow-ups/abandonment/tastes and, unfortunately, much more.”
At the time of his departure on social media, the only account he still held was Odette. “I’ll stay with the woman to make sure she doesn’t communicate too much about … about me,” he said. “Besides, I hear it’s going to have to be a really nice girl ?.”

The actor went on to say that if he remained “active with publishing because it’s now part of our job,” he will no longer “compare” his life to what he sees on social media. “I will think of you, boys, whom I followed even better. possibly not compare me,” he said. “See you soon, in genuine life. “Liberté”.
On December 3, two months after declaring her separation from Dave, Odette posted a large photo of Charlie, stating that she “goes through non-public things.”
“I took a break from the urge to gain attitude and look at myself internally as I went through non-public things,” he wrote at the time. “Trusting those you love and dedicating time and space to everything that happens in your life is what heals the healthiest. ET- This. Chick.
