Dear GME Stock fans, mark your calendars for June 17th

InvestorPlace: Stock Market News, Inventory & Trading

GameStop (NYSE:GME) shares are down roughly 4. 5% after technical difficulties caused yesterday’s shareholder meeting to be postponed until June 17.

GameStop intended to hold its virtual annual meeting of shareholders on Thursday, June 13th at 10:00 a. m. M. , Eastern Time. However, due to issues with the third-party hosting site, the assembly was rescheduled for Monday, June 17 at 12:30 pm.

No issues were discussed at this week’s assembly. According to Computershare (OTCMKTS:CMSQY), the host in question, the technical issue prevented some investors from participating in the call, and the meeting was temporarily ended as soon as the thing was completed.

Reasonably, GameStop is back in vogue on Wall Street after Keith Gill, or “Roaring Kitty,” posted about inventory on social media after a multi-year hiatus.

Since then, investors have been browsing GME inventories. In fact, over the past month, the stock has seen an average trading volume of more than one million shares per day.

Since Gill reposted on GameStop in May, the name has been on a virtual roller coaster. In fact, Gill began posting on her X account, formerly Twitter, on May 13. A day later, on May 14, GME rose by 180%. Since then, inventory has fallen, but remains in the green at 66% since the beginning of the year.

Gill has been criticized for some of his social media posts, many of which reveal his holdings in the company. According to his most recent screenshot of E-Trade’s portfolio, Gill owns around nine million GME shares.

“What he’s doing is exploiting a loophole in the rules,” said Daniel Hawke, spouse of the Arnold law firm.
