Demi Lovato is no longer fit to star in NBC’s Hungry Pilot, she will remain on the series as an EP: report

Demi Lovato will no longer appear in NBC’s planned comedy Hungry.

The 29-year-old singer, who first announced on the upcoming series in January 2021, resigned from his role just as the show’s pilot due to the start of production, according to a report from Deadline.

The component is being redesigned and the outlet noted that the series expects a replacement “shortly” so that production “stays on schedule. “

Lovato abandoned the project, according to Deadline sources, “due to scheduling issues. “However, they will do so along with their manager, Scooter Braun, as executive producers.

Representatives for Lovato and NBC did not respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
