Of all the relationships in celebrity history, Drake and Rihanna formed a couple that many expected to keep their distance. They were famous, incredibly rich and seemed to possess the chemistry needed to maintain a lasting relationship. But they may never do well, falling into an intermittent trend that followed them for years.
After deciding to finish things once and for all in 2016, the two seemed to pass on to other people. But once it was over, the couple began taking action that provoked rumors of reconciliation. The newest arrived here in mid-July when Drake noticed in local Rihanna Barbados.
Drake and Rihanna met in 2005 on the set of their music video, “Pon De Replay,” according to Billboard. They reportedly had an appointment in May 2009 after Rihanna’s separation from Chris Brown, while rumors of romance spread, Rihanna minimized that to the media.
The duo continued to flirt in the press and music as Rihanna’s 2010 hit “What’s My Name?” and Drake’s 2012 song “Take Care”. But his dates gave the impression that he had stalled in 2012.
Even though they no longer saw anyone else, Drake told Rolling Stone in February 2014: “It’s the ultimate fantasy. I mean, I’m thinking about it. Like, “Dude, that would be good.” We’re laughing together, she’s great and. But we’re just friends. He’s my dog for life.
A month later, they were noticed on a date, but it didn’t seem to happen anywhere afterwards. However, their romance would resume in August 2016 when Drake paid Rihanna a touching trio before accepting his MTV Video Vanguard award. He told her he would love her from the age of 22, leaving Rihanna shattered and blushing.

But in 2017, they’re done. Drake then had a brief love story with Jennifer Lopez while Rihanna spent with Saudi billionaire Hassan Jameel.
Drake took an inventory of his appointments in December 2019 and told Rap Radar that Rihanna is not a component of his life.
After Rihanna broke away from Jameel in January, she realized she spoke to Drake later this month at an A$ AP Rocky concert in New York. Sources told HollywoodLife they looked friendly and posed for a “comfortable appearance” video.
Two months later, Drake was seen flirting with Rihanna on Instagram and was allegedly caught following her on social media. But as romance speculation grew, the “Work” artists opted to keep quiet.

Drake unleashed a new circular of rumors of reconciliation the week of July 12 on his stopover in Barbados, where he was seen hanging with Rihanna’s brothers. None of them responded to the rumors, however, a source told HollywoodLife on July 18 that it was not what it seemed.
“Drake and his team flew to Barbados on their new personal aircraft because they’ve been there for a week to record a video clip,” the source said. “Drake arrived on July 11, the first day Barbados opened its airport to foreign visitors after a long lockout due to the pandemic.”
Regarding the explanation of why he was with Rihanna’s brothers, the source added: “Drake has befriended Rihanna’s two brothers (Rorrey Fenty and Rajad Fenty) through Rihanna and they are well with him. In fact, they are very enthusiastic and would like to see their sister settle down with him. Everyone’s still joking that one day he’ll be his brother-in-law.
But we still wouldn’t have bet on him, as a source already told E! News that Rihanna “wants to be single and is going to get into something.” Instead, he focused on his advertising activities and his ninth studio album, nicknamed R9 through fans.
