EA College Football 25 looks to be a resounding success critically and, I suspect, financially as well. It would be a surprise if it wasn’t the best-selling game in July.
We’ll wait for the numbers to verify this, we do know that the game has a Metacritic score of 88 on PlayStation 5. I’ve reviewed it here.
Recently, EA released its planned post-launch updates, which will eventually include all of the game’s features.
Below is a review of the facets that will be targeted.
According to EA, some teams’ templates are inaccurate and multiple teams need to be updated. This kind of factor is to be expected with so many players in the game. It will be attractive to see how much the team will fix the image of players across the country.
I wanted to know if there would be any updates to the roster, and EA reported that the first one would roll out at the start of the high school football season, which begins on August 24.
It’s been a long time, and many of us would possibly have been in our dynasty modes for two or three seasons until then, but it’ll still be great to see the updated rosters.
Another question I had was if we would see player ratings go up and down. EA also showed it in its recent user note.
This is excellent news, as it will make the product a breathable and meaningful complement to genuine sports.
The EA team is aware of the feedback and lack of chanting in some schools. It’s on their radar, but it’s unclear when all those issues will be resolved.
Any fixes may only be part of a seasonal release patch.
Dynasty mode is the mode that causes the most disruption for some users. It can definitely be played offline, but many users have problems and create dynasties online.
Within the dynasty, Super Sim logic needs to be polished. Too many Cinderella teams end up in the national championship. I watched a Fresno State National Championship against Washington at one of my Sims’ house.
EA has announced immediate plans to fix those issues. A hotfix is supposed to fix the factor of users entering online dynasties, however some in the comments segment of EA’s blog are reporting more issues since the hotfix was implemented.
Road to Glory is the one that receives the fewest complaints and complaints. Users often find it difficult to succeed as a quarterback, especially if they play as a two-star athlete.
I can attest to the difficulty of this component of the game. However, I accept the challenge while making some pretty horrible plays in my school career.
Stay tuned for more information on upcoming patches and a full overview of the patch notes once they are released.
