English football legend David Seaman has revealed that he asked to take part in Celebrity Big Brother, but refused.
The 60-year-old former doorman insists he will NEVER be convinced to enter the House.
Speaking to The Sun while promoting a campaign on behalf of the Financial Conduct Authority, David said: “I asked to take part a long time ago.
“It’s not for me, you know, I could be a celebrity because it’s like when I go fishing, camping and all that, I’d be pretty used to it.
“But, big brother, I was doing nothing, not being able to watch football or fish. . .
“It’s like torture for me. “
David participated in the first Dancing on Ice in 2006.
He met his former wife, Frankie, on the show while she was racing as a professional skateboarder.
David said the two men had been skating recently, adding that “the hobby never leaves you. “
We resisted the Arsenal legend when he confronted commuters in a public penalty shootout at London’s King’s Cross station, and tried to get other people to get more for their savings.
The former goalkeeper stopped a total of 16 shots out of 26 shots from the crowd over a 5-minute period, showing that the Premier League-winning goalkeeper is still capable of making one or two saves.
David is part of the Financial Conduct Authority’s campaign to inspire savers to seek a higher interest rate, and the gatekeeper says it would only take five minutes to search for a higher savings account.
“I’m here with the FCA to inspire other people to look for a higher fare so they can get better deals and save more,” he said.
“I’m saving up for a new pair of skates with the logo on them. “
After finishing in fourth place on Dancing on Ice, David appeared on several other reality shows.
In 2002, David and his wife Frankie starred in the series The Masked Dancer as “Pillar and Post”.
They were unmasked in the fifth episode.
He also appeared in any of the seasons of ITV’s Harry’s Heroes, after former football manager Harry Redknapp was given a team of compatible and healthy former foreign footballers from England for an opposite fit to the German legends.
