Netflix subscribers have a lot to look forward to in October, although I admit that the month leans a little toward new horror titles since it’s Halloween, and there are actually as many new and attractive Netflix originals as I expected.
In fact, I think you’ll be a little more involved with what’s coming out of Netflix this month. Lots of wonderful movies are about to be released, plus District 9, The Patriot and The Silence of the Lambs.
As for the new Netflix Originals, the first selection of the month is The Haunting Of Bly Manor, the sequel to The Haunting Of Hill House, one of Netflix’s most popular horror shows. It’s a series of anthologies, so the place, the characters and the disturbing ones are another season.
I also look forward to the ancient German drama Barbarians, about the struggle between the Roman Empire and the Germanic tribes that fought them. It’s in German, but some of my favorite Netflix shows, like Kingdom, are in the foreign language. Trailer:
