As we step into 2025, it’s clear that trends of the beauty world are getting a face lift.
While some fads promise to remain in place (such as the blush trend that will define the year 2024), new buzzwords like “prejuvenation” promise to bring a new face to the industry.
These are the highly anticipated good-looking trends that experts propose to watch out for in 2025.
1. Skincare and hybrids
In the year 2024, tweens and much of Generation Z are focusing more than ever on their skin care routines. According to the British Association of Dermatologists, children as young as 8 included heavy-duty anti-aging serums and products on their Christmas lists.
This (potentially concerning) obsession with skincare among younger generations has forced makeup brands to pivot, making skincare makeup a key trend by 2025.
“In fact, there is an increasing demand for makeup that includes skincare, especially products that are suitable for all ages,” says Lydia Smeds, senior marketing director at Oriflame. “Consumers are looking for products that simplify their regimen without sacrificing performance. “
This comes in the form of foundations with SPF, nourishing lip balms, and peptide-enriched BB creams. This dual-purpose technique reflects the broader trend of good looks, where minimalist looks and streamlined product lines align with a preference for practicality.

2. Prejuvenation
With skincare makeup set to be all the rage in 2025, the concept of “prejuvenation” is also expected to be the new buzzword entering our lexicon.
If 2024 is all about “clean women’s makeup” (the skin speaks for itself), then 2025 is the year of “prejuvenation”: a proactive skincare technique that prioritizes long-term investments over of silver promises.
“Prejuvenation will be a major aesthetic theme by 2025, implementing proactive skin now to replace the course of skin aging in the future,” says Lucy Goff, founder of LYMA.
“The emergence of powerful, highly advanced, minimally invasive solutions has been a real driving force,” says Goff, such as gentle at-home laser treatment and collagen-based serums and supplements.
This face-saving tactic has become widespread as many have learned that it is easier to save something than to oppose it.
“Skin is a long-term investment and huge innovations can be seen by optimizing our own cellular processes,” says Goff. So by 2025, expect bathroom cabinets full of LED masks and chemical-based creams.

3. Relaxed bohemian glamour
Although minimal makeup is in fashion, glamor will never go out of style.
By 2025, high-end glamor will come in the form of relaxed bohemian style. “Casual glamor will be a big good-looking trend for 2025,” says Elizabeth Chandler, founder of Bonded. Think wispy lashes, scruffy brows, and ’70s eyeliner. “The androgynous, perfectly buttoned-up look of 2024 will be replaced by a softer, more feminine, floaty aesthetic in 2025,” she adds.
The Chloé runway brought boho-chic back into the fashion zeitgeist this year, and 2025 will see this trend tipping into the beauty sphere.
Chandler predicts this will manifest in long, soft waves, an earthy color palette, and eclectic flavor—a turn toward the very edgy “clean woman beauty” of 2024.
“There will be more flavors from the ’70s and ’80s, which the undone herbal look will paint throughout the glamorous ’80s palette,” Chandler says. “There’s that ’80s mentality feeling in the air as we shed the tense perfection of 2024. “

4. 80s Glitter
While beauty seems to be taking a more relaxed approach in 2025, there’s no denying the impact of the Eighties this coming year. Nostalgia-driven beauty will be making a comeback in the form of playful pigments and loose glitter.
“Smooth, glossy finishes were huge in 2024,” says Chandler, “reminiscent of ’80s glamour. ”
As blush boomed in popularity – leading some on social media to question whether they had ‘blush blindness’ (a term for over-applying blush without realising) – other Eighties make-up staples like loose glitter are predicted to rise the beauty ranks.
Playing on the “casual bohemian glamour” trend, loose glitter has a certain nonchalance and enhances makeup without being too “done. ”

5. Tailor-made beauty
The year 2024 saw a rise in personalization across the board, and the good looks industry was no exception.
“Historically, having something tailored to your desires meant exclusivity, however, with the pursuit of fitness knowledge it has evolved into a complex wisdom of our bodies and a willingness to treat it accordingly,” says Goff.
Good-looking personalized products are reaching new heights throughout the day, with brands like Skin + Me and Klira carrying Gen Z through the typhoon this year; Personalized care kits are expected to be a big trend. Hyper-targeted packages at high costs mean that personalized luxury is no longer reserved for the 1%.
