Famous osteopath trusted by Olympic athletes was caught spying on college students as they transformed

An osteopathic celebrity is facing prison time after being caught spying on college students as they stripped.

Torben Hersborg, 63, recorded at least 60 videos of women over four years and was carrying a camera and telescope when he was detained by police, a court heard.

Chillingly, Hersborg was wearing black gloves when he was arrested and had covered the back seat of his car with black bin liners.

On Monday, at the Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court, Hersborg pleaded guilty to three counts of spying on women. He remained in custody until sentencing next month.

Police are interrogating electronic devices recovered from his home in Wapping, east London, amid fears that what they know of his activities already may be the “tip of the iceberg”.

Hersborg, a married father, admitted to espionage incidents on December 10, 14 and 21 this year in student residences in Islington, north London.

“He was outdoors in the university residences, spying on students, filming and recording them,” said prosecutor Zahid Hussain.

He said Hersborg was shocked that his “distinctive” car was seen hidden in the domain on those nights and reported it to the police.

The court heard detectives are now hunting for another man who is suspected of “colluding” with Hersborg as he spied on the students.
