Marvelous Europe has announced and introduced the first free update of 2024 for Fashion Dreamer on Switch.

The update brings a new limited-time “dramatic” fair that will run from January 17 to February 7, 2024. During this time, players will be able to collect 20 limited pieces that will help them “shine like a pearl. “So it’s cute.

There are also 10 new permanent models available, as well as an increase in the total garage capacity from 5,000 to 6,000 items. But that’s not all, as several quality-of-life innovations have also been implemented, including:

In fact, we didn’t like Fashion Dreamer too much when it launched, giving it a score of 5/10, but we expect this new update to move towards a more engaging experience.

No amount of new fashion items is going to improve this game. Coming from the excellent New Style Boutique (aka Style Savvy) games, Fashion Dreamer is a shallow and joyless stinker.

If you like dressing up an organization of random NPCs, then it’s a lighthearted and relaxing game with engaging visuals, but it completely lacks the depth, personality, and elements of business control that (surprisingly) made me a fan of the game. It was 3DS, and I’d say I’m far from the target audience for these types of games.

It’s not the worst option if it’s on sale, but boutique style enthusiasts are careful to avoid disappointment.

For me, this is not at all up to par with New Style Boutique’s popular games and while I’m still not a fan of the “influencer” angle, I bought it from day one and I’m laughing more. than I expected, basically because of the online mode. I have a lot of fun creating trendy outfits for the other players (and I hope they are satisfied too) and it gives me a great sense of inner warmth. I try to find myself meeting indexed needs and creating well-coordinated sets, but unfortunately, I rarely get the same from other players. I’m not saying this is terrible for anyone, I’m just being fair, but most of the Lookits I get are downright awful; There’s nothing to match, the colors clash, the outfits are just one big mess, T_T Oh well, it doesn’t matter. I find happiness in making cool outfits for others and that’s the biggest charm of this game for me.

A 5/10 a bit harsh for this game. I’ve noticed that many streamers appreciate it as a fake 8/10. But what are numbers anyway? I love the way it looks.

I saw the image and I was really excited because I came up with a new game (an anime) for the Switch.

@Iron65: I think a 5/10 is fair. It’s a game with a moderate ending and presentation, and it’s not bad at all, but it’s awful seen from the back of the New Style Boutique games (which evolved through the same team, and Fashion Dreamers has an aesthetic that’s virtually indistinguishable from its forebears).

All in all, it’s simply an average game that doesn’t do anything conceptually interesting, and it probably wouldn’t come back for another few seconds if it had a sequel.

I don’t understand why Nintendo didn’t just commission a new Style Boutique game instead. The 3DS got three of them for crying out loud. Now those games deserve a solid 9/10 (and I think they scored about as much by this very site).

This game is a general disappointment. I wish they would have just brought the boutique/savvy taste games from the DS, they were so much better. I imagine a fashion dreamer would have been at least as good, but OMG, it’s awful.

@Sisilly_G is frustrating because it was the first time I heard about the show and it seemed quite interesting, until I saw the average over-review; Knowing that it’s decent is even more tragic. It’s like Fallout Four all over again.
