The American football star Tommy Lazzaro, a major known through her nickname “Touchdown Tommy”, died tragically in a destination turn in Florida.
Lazzaro was not only a sports star, but he also served his country as a member of the U. S. military, enlisting after graduating from Central Michigan University.
The 27-year-old reportedly died after being hit by a stray bullet during a hunting trip.
The details of the incident have not yet been published, however, according to the mirror, Lazzaro spoke dead on the scene.
The main coach of the Central University of Michigan, Jim Mcelwain, who trained Lazzaro during his school years, described him as a true leader.
“When we took over the program, Tommy was actually our leader in a lot of ways.
“CMU football was lucky to have him and will not forget him for all he did for so many of us. They will miss it across all the Chippewas,” McElwain said.

Lazzaro’s memorial service will be held on Saturday, 28 December, at Emerald Coast Funeral Home.
After service, it will be buried in the Beal Memorial cemetery.
According to a statement shared by the United States Department of the Army, Lazzaro leaves behind his parents, his sister, and his fiancée.
“Tommy’s unwavering commitment to excellence earned him numerous accolades and the admiration of all who served with him.
“Beyond his professional accomplishments, he is known for his humility, his kindness, and his love for his family and his fiancée, Kaley Lynch,” the press release reads.
