Ford’s electric F-150 Lightning is losing ground as its aging EV lineup faces new threats

Ford F-15 Lightning loses ground in the United States with new electric microphones such as Tesla Cybertruck and Chevy Silverado EV now available. Although Ford plans to launch smaller, more electric cars, adding an SUV and pickup truck, they won’t arrive (at least) (at least). With the new threats, adding a wave of electric cars to a declining burden and Trump threatening to impose charges on imports from Mexico, has he further introduced Ford’s aging diversity?

3 years have passed that the first F-150 Lightning models obtained here from the Ford Red Electric Vehicle Center in Dearborn, Michigan.

In addition to the Rivian R1T, the lightning bolt among the first electric pickups that were obtained in the United States. Rivian delivered the first R1T models in October 2021. The first Lightning consumers won their cars in May 2022.

Despite establishing a new record for sales of electric vehicles in January, Ford sold fewer ray models than last year. Ascent month, sales fell 15. 5% to 1,907, below 2,258 in January 2024.

The Mustang Mach-E is the main explanation why for the greater sale of Ford last month. Ford sold 3,529 mach-e in January, 172% more compared to 1,295 sold last year.

After a GM due to GM in the U. S. electric vehicle market last year, Ford introduced significant incentives toward the end of the year to build sales. In October, Ford introduced its “promised power” program, giving the entire customer a Point 2 home for $2,000. It ended the promotion last month after sales rose 16% in the fourth quarter.

According to Edmunds (through Bloomberg), Mach-E models in the lot for an average of more than 3 months before incitement, almost 20% more than the average EV.

The aging of the Ray of Ford and Mach-E already supports the new EV competition as Tesla Cybertruck and Honda Prologue.

According to the Cox Automotive 2024 EV Sales Report, Tesla sold 38,965 Cybertrucks in the United States last year, exceeding lightning to 33,510. Even the new Silverado Chevy catches up.

Ford is betting on a new low-cost EV platform as it looks to keep pace with global leaders like Tesla and BYD. The new platform, under development by a team of former Tesla, Lucid, Rivian, and Apple execs in California, will underpin a series of smaller, more affordable EVs.

The first models are expected to be a smaller electric crossover SUV and pickup, starting at under $30,000. However, the new EVs are not expected to arrive until at least 2027.

By then, Ford will face stiff competition with Rivian launching its smaller R2, Volkswagen’s Scout brand arriving, etc.

The aging of the Ray of Ford and Mach-E already supports the new EV competition as Tesla Cybertruck and Honda Prologue.

I do not have a Ford Ev (in summary, we have possessed a Mach -E in 2023 before it was bought through Ford under the law of Limón), however, I am curious to know how the Cybertruck exceeds the lightning F -150 or even how the prologue beats the machine.

I think Ford wants to make a small, affordable EV (compact or subcompact), but I think every automaker wants it.

The largest SUV that will be presented this year, but instead, rivals such as Hyundai, Kia, Lucid and Volvo take merit with new electric SUVs with 3 rows (Ioniq 9, EV90, Gravity and Ex90) arriving in the United States this year.

After delivering the march of the first models, Honda’s prologue has already exceeded the month Ford Mustang Mach-E.
