MTV’s Celebrity Cribs may not air, but thanks to Gigi Hadid, the premise has just been reborn on social media.

On Instagram, the style showed his fans an excursion to his apartment in New York. “I spent last year’s total designing and organizing my hobby/dream place project. Of course, it all came together just before the city was quarantined,” he wrote. “I’m excited about the time I’m going to spend enjoying all the special corners that have been created with the help of some of my favorite creations.” He then appointed Gordon Khan, architect specializing in recovery and renovation, and his mother, Yolanda Hadid. The genuine housewife, she says, “is the largest family soundboard I can ask for and calls me crazy when needed.”

So what does this “dream place” look like? Well, let’s start with the living room, which is adorned with an orange and gray color palette. Each cushion of your Missoni sectional sofa is of another color or pattern, from stripes to tiles and zig-zag. She accentuated everything with a haute couture home accessory: Jean Paul Gaultier pillows.

Any more accents? Vintage skis, intelligently leaning against a wall, like a summary of artist Austyn Weiner of Los Angeles.

Moving to the kitchen: As a centerpiece, Hadid placed colorful billiard balls in an elongated bowl on the island of his kitchen. Its cupboards are creative: its doors are filled with brightly colored pasta through artist Linda Miller Nicholson.

In a hallway, Hadid hung a proclamation from Eamon Harrington. It says: “Welcome [.] All ages, all colors, all sizes, all cultures, all genders, all beliefs, all religions, all types, all people, here.”

The wall of his bathroom is covered with the urban literary clip: the covers of the New Yorker.

Upstairs, more ancient art awaits you: this time, a door through an old Chevy. On the corner is Hadid’s glamorous bedroom. Its lounge-style armchair, in particular, catches the eye: padded ochre velvet and antique-style frame.

His room, by comparison, is simple, with a white duvet and what appear to be Matouk pillowcases. There are two state-of-the-art Forest Ceramic lamps at your night tables.

Hadid is lately expecting his first child with Zayn Malik. Every time the baby arrives, a colorful house awaits.
