Believe it or not, Macaulay Culkin is years old.
Yes, that’s fine.
The actor, who excelled at age 10 in the 1990 comedy Home Solo, shot the big 4-0 on Wednesday, much to Twitter’s surprise.
“Hey guys, you want to feel older? I’m 40 years old,” the actor wrote. “You’re welcome.”
The news came as a surprise to those still Culkin of his “Home Alone” days, when he played wise boy Kevin McCallister.
“I’m having a wonderful day and then I find out that Macaulay Culkin is 40 and I’m getting old,” Tweeted Paul O’Sullivan of Greywind, with a video of a guy they kick through a horse.
“Who made Macaulay Culkin who lit his 2020 apocalyptic bingo card?” wrote the user in DarleneCox18.
“DangArray.. 40? Ok… it’s time to disconnect…” wrote the user – diane1261.
In a follow-up tweet, Culkin added, “It’s my gift to the world: I make other people feel old. I’m not a kid anymore, it’s my job.”
The actor joked about taking the anniversary milestone as an opportunity to reinvent itself.
“Since I’m 40, I think it’s time to start my midlife crisis,” he writes. “I’m thinking about starting surfing. Do you have any suggestions?”
Macaulay Culkin grew up in a Google Christmas ad through ”Home Alone”
Although many of his enthusiasts starred in the roles of his training years, Culkin has done much since “Home Alone.” He lent his voice for the “Robot Chicken” exhibition from 2005 to 2010. In 2007 she starred in the black comedy “Sex and Breakfast” and in 2006 published the semi-autobiographical experimental novel “Junior”. He also made appearances on “The Jim Gaffigan Show” from 2015 to 2016.
Culkin reprised his role as McCallister in a Google Assistant Christmas ad in 2018. The ad followed a plot similar to the Christmas comedy, Culkin waking up in an empty space, with the exception of his Google assistant, of course.

Culkin returned for “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York,” released in 1992. It appears in long-running episodes: “Home Alone 3” (1997), “Home Alone 4: Taking Back the House” (2002) and “Home Only: The Holiday Flight” (2012). The last two films were screened on television.
