But with lockdown putting a halt on life as we know it – as well as flights abroad – the likes of Jesy Nelson, Jacqueline Jossa and many of the Love Island stars have been forced to get creative.
Refusing to let the pandemic scupper their photoshoots, stars have resorted to hilariously bad Instagram backdrops.
With snaps taken in their own back yards – complete with leaves and debris – and more taken in supermarket crisp aisles, on doorsteps and even in car parks, it’s proved even a pandemic can’t stop an impromptu fashion shoot.
And with actresses, reality stars and musicians forced to make use of their own homes, it’s given fans a rare glimpse inside where they’re spending their time shut away from the world.
Here’s a few of our favourite creative Instagram shots…
In possibly one of the most dire backdrops, Love Island’s Shaugna Phillips actually managed to make a deserted car park look stylish as she advertised her loungewear in a snap in June.
Little Mix star Jesy Nelson has been sending pulses soaring in lockdown with a steady stream of posts showing off her incredible wardrobe.
But with few spots to choose from, she’s managed to make the best of her home, doorstep and garden – with one snap showing her posing in front of a hedge to model pal Leigh-Anne Pinnock’s bikini.
The Hadids have been enjoying some family time in the countryside in lockdown, and Bella Hadid delighted fans when she swapped her usual designer photoshoots for a field filled with plant pots recently.
Rolling around for a series of photos on the ground, the supermodel made the most of the relaxed country setting for the fun-filled snaps.
Love Island’s Zara McDermott gave shoppers a surprise when she flashed her bum in a cheeky shot in a crisp aisle, to advertise and show off some tiny denim shorts.
You can always rely on a Love Island star to mix things up.
Jessica Shears took to her garden and posed in front of her washing line – complete with a sheet and her undies hanging out – while modelling some white underwear during lockdown.
Love Island’s Francesca Allen appeared to find a favourite spot in her garden as she advertised a series of clothing brands.
The reality star posed with a rustic wooden fence behind her, and leaves, discarded bricks and undergrowth scattered around her feet.
Dani Dyer took a moment out from one of her daily walks for a quick photo in the middle of a pavement, with houses providing her backdrop as she showed off a white playsuit for one of her fashion ads.
Chloe Ferry opted for a very grotty-looking staircase and rust-covered balcony to pose up a storm in a tight-fitting tracksuit, proving any place will do.
Ferne McCann managed to make an unlikely alleyway her own personal catwalk when she posed in gym gear post-workout on a gravel path between two white walls.
That’s the best it’s surely ever looked…
Geordie Shore beauty Charlotte Crosby jumped on the patio bandwagon as she modelled some dungarees, with nothing but a brick wall, a wooden fence and some paving stones behind her.
In true Brit style, Leigh-Anne Pinnock ensured she made the most of the limited UK sunshine in lockdown with a series of photos of her in a skimpy white bikini, while relaxing in front of the brick wall of a building
Love Island’s Amber Gill took her camera to the bathroom for one surprise photoshoot, even including a toilet in the background as she showed off a stunning pair of white shorts and matching bralet.
We’ve been treated to a lot of lockdown fashion photos from Gemma Collins, and she’s managed to find a favourite spot in front of a window for many of them.
Noticeably, a green gnome has made an appearance in many of the photos.
It’s not just female stars getting creative, celeb men have been at it too…
Tommy Fury has become partial to a photo on deserted roads amid lockdown, as he continues his strict fitness regime.
He’s even previously joked: “Same s***, different day.”
Pete Wicks has poked fun at the new trend himself, and took a smouldering snap while sat down in front of a lake and two geese – before cheekily joking: “Today was nice…I sat in goose s***.
In a creative spin on a landing selfie, Love Island’s Michael Griffiths even positioned a stool in the middle for one shot – joking: “Anyone else have a stool & mirror positioned perfectly on their landing? Yeah me too.”
Joshua Ritchie turned a pavement with cars and vans parked behind him into a catwalk for an impromptu photo to model some new grey loungewear.
He’s no stranger to a sizzling selfie, and Adam Collard stripped off in front of his staircase at home recently.
Wearing nothing but some tiny grey boxers, the star left little to. the imagination – and the cap on the bannister truly completes the shot.
It seems there’s no need for those exotic beach shoots after all!
