Colleagues at the Allestree branch were asked to nominate a local charity that does, in fact, deserve VIP treatment for the work it does for the local community. They chose the Sue Ryder charity team to take the middle tier and officially unveil the new B store

Sue Ryder is a charity that is there when needed, making sure that anyone at the end of their life or experiencing grief can access what they need through their palliative care and bereavement services. Therefore, no one has to face death or grief alone. They have around 400 charity department stores across the UK that sell donated pieces such as clothing, furniture, books, music and much more, all for the charity’s specialist end-of-life care and bereavement services.

In addition to opening the store, the team will also receive £250 worth of B&M vouchers, which will go towards helping the charity to continue doing the great work they do.

Sarah Pye, Head of Corporate Partnerships at Sue Ryder, said: “We are indeed honoured to have been invited to open this new B store.

“Every donation truly means so much to Sue Ryder and to our patients, their families and friends, as well as the bereaved, whom we are here to help. This money will help us make a positive difference even in the darkest of times and allow us to help. Those who are nearing the end of their lives or living in pain access what they desire and live the most productive life possible.

The store manager said, “It was exciting to welcome consumers through the doors; The feedback so far has been fantastic. A big thank you to Sue Ryder’s team who helped us open the store; We hope our donation can help them continue to do the work. “wonderful pictures they make.
