James May, 56, presented a video on YouTube channel The Food Tribe, where he tried to make cat food bearable for human digest. The former Top Gear presenter showed what it’s like to cook cat food in a frying pan with other ingredients. , blend it with mashed potatoes and create a homemade shepherd’s cake with a different twist.
James began by addressing the camera saying, “Things have become desperate. “
He then exhibited a package of Felix on the countertop of his kitchen, adding: “Cat food, now cat food, is perfectly edible, has compatibility for human consumption, and in fact it will have to be, because the tragedy is that other people, when they get tough, eat it.
The television star explained how “in the 1970s” other less fortunate people ate cat food and that a law had entered into force that made it “suitable for human consumption”.
James then showed a packet of cat food, which he claimed his host’s cat, Tom, liked to eat.

He continued: “Now he’s the one who loves my cat, and Tom loves bird and cheese.
“This is beef and poultry [he said from Felix’s pocket] whatever that means. So I need to eat it straight from the package.
“I’ll be honest, I’m sure I can do it, but it might be a bit of a joke,” he added.
The engine expert explained that through cat food bags, he would create two separate cakes with pre-prepared mashed potatoes.
James shared: “We were going to make a dressing for the cake with Smash, instant mashed potatoes. If you’re older, don’t forget very well the advertising crusade that featured those aliens, kind of Martian characters. “
He then began cooking cat food in a saucepan with olive oil, while mixing the Smash aggregate with water in a separate saucepan.
Once the cakes were made, James started sniffing the concoctions and said, “I wish I had brought the fancy things my cat likes and not the spicy things. “
Taking a bite of the probably terrible entrance, he pleasantly surprised through the taste.
