Jeremy Scott is stepping down as artistic director of Italian luxury space Moschino after 10 years.
The company made the announcement on Monday, March 20.
“Scott has written a fundamental bankruptcy in the brand’s heritage with his fearless and surprising pop-camp taste and incisive humor, true to the House’s famous codes,” the company said in an emailed statement.
The American designer took over from Moschino in October 2013 with an autumn/winter that, according to the press release, “launched a thousand debates about the role of fashion in the annals of art, intake and social discourse. “
Over the years, Scott has released collections that have inspired his pop and tongue-in-cheek culture about Barbie, aliens, and Ronald McDonald.
Celebrities such as Katy Perry, Madonna, Rita Ora and Zendaya wore their designs.
More recently, Scott has dressed a handful of stars for the Oscars, adding that Angela Bassett hand-dressed in a traditional ultraviolet dress with a large cleavage.
Massimo Ferretti, president of Moschino’s parent company, Aeffe SpA. , thanked Scott for “giving way to a distinct and joyful vision that will be part of Moschino’s history. “
