Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, the Democratic vice presidential candidate, took the reins of governorship in January 2019, meaning he led the state through the economic spiral of the COVID-19 pandemic and historic levels of inflation that plagued the United States as markets recovered.
Walz referenced the inflation factor in his April 2023 State of the State report to the Minnesota House of Representatives, where he also unveiled his universal flexible school feeding plan.
“On top of that, our plan invests billions more in our education system, adding a more than 10% increase in the overall education investment formula over the next four years to the heroic works of our wonderful teachers. And it includes enough cash to supply universal school meals so that no child in Minnesota has to be informed on an empty stomach.

The border has proven to be a primary factor among voters across the country.
The Democratic nominee ran a crusade ad titled “Tougher,” in which she discusses her current stance on the issue.
“Repairing the border is difficult, and so is Kamala Harris,” the resolution reads.
Harris was criticized in 2022 for suggesting that “the border is secure,” despite the large number of illegal immigrants crossing it.
On Thursday, a CNN fact-checker criticized Democrats for spreading incorrect information about former President Trump and the Heritage Foundation’s “Project 2025. “
“[Trump], with his friends, said out loud the quieter parts, but not only did he say them out loud, he wrote an e-book about it. What’s your name? Project 2025,” Blunt said.
“That’s wrong. Trump didn’t write the 2025 plan,” CNN’s Daniel Dale said. “The primary policy document released through the Heritage Foundation think tank lists dozens of other people as authors, editors and contributors. Donald Trump is not among them. “
Trump himself referred to the task in an interview Thursday on Fox News, saying he was unfamiliar with the document and had not read it.
Trump made the comments in an interview Thursday morning with Fox and Friends.
“Mr. President, there was a big announcement. Big rumors are spreading that RFK Jr might give up, he could help him. Their spokesperson said they would give a live speech tomorrow about their way forward. And now there are rumors that he might sign up for you at this rally in Arizona tomorrow to announce that he’s helping you. What’s the truth?” asked Fox host Ainsley Earhardt.
“I’ve known him for a long time. As you know, it’s a little bit of a different kind. A very intelligent guy, a very intelligent person. If he would support me, it would be an honor. It would be “I feel very honored. In fact, it has its center in the right place. He is a person of good repute. Women like some of his policies and I guess other people don’t like some of his policies,” Trump said. “But in general. . . They treated him very badly. I think he would have, you know, he’s saying he would have beaten Biden in the primary. “

Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump will debate on Sept. 10 on ABC News, as announced earlier this month.
TRUMP SAYS KAMALA HARRIS WON’T PARTICIPATE IN FOX NEWS DEBATE ON SEPT. 4
Trump joins the ABC debate days after posting on his social media that he would appear on the network, bringing up a complaint he filed, the Associated Press reported.
“I think it’s very important to have debates,” Trump said earlier this month. “I’m ahead of the debates because I think we want to make things clear. “

Democratic lawmakers have also not been afraid to rub shoulders with radical anti-Israel groups and their leaders who are explicit in favor of Hamas.
For example, Nihad Awad, executive director and co-founder of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), said she was “happy to see” Hamas’ invasion on Oct. 7. At an event hosted by CAIR in January, Lee participated in the fundraiser alongside the organization in March, and about a month after the Hamas attack, California Gov. Gavin Newsom met with representatives from the organization’s California chapter.

Monday night’s speakers included Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and President Joe Biden.
BIDEN WOULD STILL BE “AMAZING AND P—-D” TO BE POSTPONED
Many critics have criticized event organizers for forcing the president to wait, with some observers saying it’s just further evidence that Democrats rejected Biden in favor of Harris.
Meanwhile, anti-Israel protesters invaded the Chicago site, some of them breaking through police barriers. The widespread protests have shattered Democrats’ hopes of presenting a united front to Harris at the convention.
“It’s been 16 years since I had the honor of accepting this party’s nomination for president. And I know it’s hard, since I’m not old, but it’s true. And in retrospect, I can say without a doubt ‘I doubt that my first big resolution as your candidate turned out to be one of the best. And it was asking Joe Biden to serve alongside me as vice president,” Obama said Tuesday afternoon from the Democratic National Committee.
“Beyond our usual Irish blood, Joe and I come from other backgrounds. But we have become brothers. And although we worked together for 8 years (quite complicated), what I admired most about Joe was not only his intelligence and experience, but it was his empathy and decency, as well as his hard-earned resilience and his unwavering confidence that everyone in this country deserves a fair shot.
Walz joined through other keynote speakers such as former President Bill Clinton and Oprah Winfrey.
This week, Walz obtained a letter from veterans and lawmakers that echoed Vance’s complaint about his departure from the military.

Chicago, thanks to its geographic centrality, is the most popular city in terms of primary political conventions.
Between 1860 and 1996, Chicago hosted 14 Republican national nominating conventions and Democratic Party conventions.
Democratic Governor JB Pritzker of Illinois, along with the state’s congressional delegation and Chicago city officials, were instrumental in organizing the convention. And one of its promotions is the gigantic number of hotel rooms in Chicago, meaning that the thousands of delegates, officials and journalists covering the convention could stay within the city limits.
This is far from the case with many political conventions. Last month, some delegates and journalists were staying in hotels far from downtown Milwaukee, site of the 2024 Republican National Convention.

Walz joined former President Bill Clinton in attacking Trump’s tenure. Clinton also noted that Trump is older than him despite the years since his service.
Meanwhile, Walz’s progressive record as governor was tapped into by Republicans after he became Vice President Kamala Harris’ running mate, and he had a much more moderate reputation when he entered Congress in 2007.
Walz had ousted Minnesota’s red-leaning first congressional district and ousted a sitting Republican president to win the seat.
However, his first foray into politics came in 2004, when he volunteered for John Kerry’s failed presidential campaign.
Walz’s political activism erupted shortly before when he took a group of his students to a rally for the re-election of George W. Bush, where one of his students was questioned through security for having a sticker he sold to Kerry in his wallet, according to MinnPost.
