Celebrity approvals came after a former manufacturer DeGeneres was a “toxic host.”
By Christopher Rosen
Some of Ellen DeGeneres’ allies have come forward to protect the host of the day that opposes the persistent claims her long-standing series produced in an environment of poisonous paintings.
On a Tuesday posted on Twitter, Katy Perry wrote, “I know I can’t communicate about anyone’s delight but mine, but I must admit that I’ve never had positive classes of my time with Ellen and [The Ellen DeGeneres Show]. I think we’ve all witnessed the smooth and ongoing struggle for equality that has brought the world through its platform for decades. I send you love and a hug, my friend.”
1/2 I know I can’t speak for anyone else’s experience besides my own but I want to acknowledge that I have only ever had positive takeaways from my time with Ellen & on the @theellenshow. I think we all have witnessed the light & continual fight for equality that she has brought

Later on Tuesday, Kevin Hart added his voice to the verbal exchange around the harassed communication screen host.
“It’s crazy to see my friend go through what’s going on in public. I’ve known Ellen for years and I can honestly say she’s one of the drugged-up people on the fucking planet,” Hart wrote on Instagram. “She treated my circle of relatives and my team with love and respect from day one. The Internet has become a world of negativity… we fall in love [with other people falling]. It’s really sad … when to get here? Me, the ones I know and love. Looking to the future, when we start loving each other again … This hatred has to end. Let’s hope it goes out of fashion soon.
Hart added that his comments were not “intended to forget the emotions of others and their experiences,” but were simply directed at DeGeneres.
In 2019, weeks after Hart resigned as host of the Oscars amid controversy over a series of homophobic tweets he had posted in the past, DeGeneres defended the comic when he gave the impression on his show. “There are so many who hate it, ” said DeGeneres at the time. “Whatever happens on the Internet, don’t pay attention to them; it’s a very, very noisy little organization of other people. We are a giant organization of other people who love you and need to see you be the host of the Oscars.”
Later in the interview, in which DeGeneres led Hart to host the Oscars despite the controversy, he added: “They can’t destroy you because you’re too talented. No one can do that. And stop them from fulfilling your dream.” – what you were looking to do and what you have the right to do, what you deserve to do – that’s why they haven’t discovered a host. I think they secretly expected you to come back. And I pray that this will happen. Array… You’ve grown up. You apologized. You’re apologizing right now. You did it. Don’t let those other people win. Organize the Oscars. (Hart did not host the rite of awards in 2019).
Public approvals came a day after Portia De Rossi, the former star of Arrested Development who married DeGeneres in 2008, posted for his wife on Instagram. “To all our fans … See you. Thank you for your Array,” De Rossi wrote along with a meme that said “I’m with Ellen.” De Rossi splattered his message with a variety of hashtags, adding apparent expressions such as #IStandByEllen and #IStandWithEllenDeGeneres and unsontable as #stopbotattacks.
But #botattacks are not the source of DeGeneres’ disorders at this time. In an interview with TheWrap released Monday, Hedda Muskat, manufacturer of the Ellen DeGeneres Show from 2003 to 2004, called DeGeneres a “toxic host”. Muskat reported TheWrap, one of many anonymous former painters who spoke to BuzzFeed about the exhibition’s painting environment. This type only occurs when the cameras are on. It’s all for the exhibition,” one former painter told BuzzFeed News at the time, referring to DeGeneres’ public belief and communication exhibition brand.” I know they give money to other people and help them, but it’s for the exhibition.”
It is this first article, published last month, that triggered an internal investigation into The WarnerMedia program.
“While not all of the allegations have been substantiated, we are disappointed that key findings in the investigation have indicated some deficiencies similar to daily control of the problem,” said a Warner Bros. representative. in a last week. “We have seen several changes in staffing, as well as appropriate measures to address the problems that have arisen, and we are taking the first steps to bring them into effect. Warner Bros.et Ellen DeGeneres are all committed to ensuring an office based on respect and inclusion. We are convinced that this action plan will lead us on the right path to the show. »
Although DeGeneres has not commented publicly on the allegations, he wrote him a note apologizing last week.
“On the first day of our show, I told everyone in our first assembly that The Ellen DeGeneres Show would be a position of happiness, no one would ever raise their voices and everyone would be treated with respect,” DeGeneres wrote. “Obviously, everything has been repositioned and I am disappointed to be informed that this has not been the case. And that’s why, I’m sorry. Anyone who knows me knows that this is the opposite of what I and what I expected.” for our show.”
Later in the note, he added: “My call is about the series and everything we do and I assume duty for it. Together with Warner Bros., we promptly introduced an internal investigation and are taking steps in combination to solve the problems. As we grew exponentially, I couldn’t keep up with everything and trusted others to do their homework because they knew I was looking for them to do it. Clearly, some have not. That will now replace and I’m committed to making sure it doesn’t happen again.’
But according to Muskat, DeGeneres would have been aware of what had happened between senior managers and staff. In his interview with TheWrap, Muskat said that at a staff assembly years ago, executive manufacturer Ed Glavin rebuked a team member against DeGeneres. “He crossed his legs in the chair and said, “Well, I guess each and every production wishes his dog,” Muskat said. “And from there we knew. Ed’s going to be the barking dog, his dog. You may see that each and every one’s faces get stiff. We’re professionals, we’re adults. We don’t want a dog forcing us to do our job. Arrangement.. She’s the only one who laughs.
When they were contacted to comment on the allegations of Muskat, representatives of Warner Bros. He reiterated the company’s initial and noted that “the process is still ongoing”.
In reaction to the accusations made in BuzzFeed’s original story, Glavin and fellow executive makers Mary Connelly and Andy Lassner said in a joint statement: “For nearly two decades, 3,000 episodes and employing more than 1,000 employees, we have tried to create a safe and inclusive paint environment. We regret to be informed that even a user of our family production circle has had a negative experience. It’s not who we are and what we’re trying to be, or the project Ellen has set up for us. For the most purposes, the daily duty of Ellen’s exhibition is all over us. We take all this very seriously and realize, as many in the world are reporting, that we want to do more, we are committed to making it bigger and we will make it bigger ».
Despite the help of Perry and De Rossi, not all celebrities showed up throughout DeGeneres in this existing crisis. Last week, in reaction to an article published through Variety about the allegations, actor Brad Garrett wrote: “I’m sorry, but it comes from above… Know more than one who was treated horribly through him.

Late last week, a British tabloid report warned that DeGeneres could leave its long series of days to more scandals. But according to People, such plans do not exist and DeGeneres is expected to return as host of The Ellen DeGeneres Show on September 9.
