Shortly after the prosecution was announced, Cameron held a press conference in which he tried to alleviate the nation’s emotions, as many others mocked the resolution as a lack of justice.
“There will be celebrities, influencers and activists who have never lived in Kentucky who will see to tell us how they feel, suggesting that they perceive the facts of this case, that they know our network and the Commonwealth better than we do, but don’t,” Cameron said, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Shortly after the grand jury announcement, several celebrities turned to social media to express their outrage at the decision.
“What we saw today is not justice. May Breonna Taylor’s spirit remain in place as we all continue the #justiceforbreonnataylor,” Padma Lakshmi wrote.
Actor and director George Clooney said in a Deadline: “The justice formula in which I was raised to believe that other people are held accountable for their actions. No fees were announced without delay against the other two officers involved in the raid, Myles Cosgrove and Sergeant Jonathan Mattingly, who shot in the leg and had surgery.
Taylor, an emergency medical worker, was shot several times by officials who entered her home using a strike ban order and a narcotics investigation. The order used to search for his home was related to a suspect who did not live there, and no drugs were discovered inside since then, the use of court orders without a strike has been banned in Louisville.

On September 15, the city settled a lawsuit against Taylor’s three officers, Tamika Palmer, agreeing to pay him $12 million and enact police reforms.
