Former Strictly Come Dancing star Kevin Clifton, 37, was challenged through her 33-year-old friend Stacey Dooley, after former EastEnders actor Jake Wood revealed that they had met at the popular celebrity lair, The Ivy. The professional dancer was “out of the place to eat” when he made a brief appearance on the Pound for Pound Boxing podcast alongside Jake and Spencer Oliver, while the duo interviewed Stacey.

Spencer approached the subject when he told the documentary director, “Jake and I used to communicate about this and I don’t know if Kevin is there or what, yet we met Kevin once in The Ivy.”

The former professional boxer explained that the duo met Kevin because he was looking to worry about boxing.

After the revelation, Stacey can involve her joy, as Kevin had already told her that she likes to move to glamorous restaurants.

She laughed and exclaimed, “It’s great, I’d probably just say, the fact that you just said that he at The Ivy will shake him because he realizes he doesn’t like those places.”

Stacey then took the opportunity to call her boyfriend to the room so that he himself could explain the scenario.

She joked, “Kevin, come and say hello. You were at The Ivy, weren’t you?

“Oh, you brought me here, ” he timidly admitted the hall and the Latin dancer in response.

Trying to hold Kevin, Spencer called, “No, Kev, it’s the pub next door, isn’t it?”

However, Stacey continued to laugh at her boyfriend, imitating him saying, “Oh, I’m just a Grimsthrough guy, I don’t like it!”

Jake then joined the joke and added, “You were at your usual Kev table, you know, that around.”

“We were evicted for being too dumb, weren’t we?” (Sic) Kevin joked.

After laughing with Stacey and the hosts, Kevin explained why not watch the game on his Boxing With The Stars screen while he was on Strictly.

He said, “I tried to do it, but every single time I was about to say yes, I imagine that if they broke my face and Strictly was on the horizon, it would be a major problem.

“And I kept making excuses along the way, but I’m thinking about it and I think I’d love the educational process.”

Kevin’s verbal exchange about boxing comes after he delivered his departure from Strictly in March after seven years on the show.

Following his resolve to leave the show, the professional dancer will play the lead role in Strictly Ballroom: The Musical.

Unfortunately for Kevin, when the coronavirus pandemic hit, all mass gatherings were banned through the British amid the national blockade that led to the closure of cinemas.

Speaking on his self-titled podcast The Kevin Clifton Show, the Latin champion spoke of his persistent fears about his long-term career.

He said: “There are days when you pay attention to an interview and say, ‘The total [theater] industry can collapse. There will be no theater industry.”

He continued: “It means my entire career is over. So when I’ll do anything else.

“The idea that I can now keep writing, I sought to do it and then it becomes, ‘Oh my God, my life depends on that.'”
