Lindsay Arnold gives a review of the day her daughter, Sage Jill, was born a week ago.
The video, posted Sunday on her YouTube channel Arnold Sisters, begins with a clip of Arnold and her husband Samuel Lightner Cusick in the car on the way to the hospital in the early hours of the morning.
“I think we could have a baby!” The 26-year-old Dancing with the Stars professional said enthusiastically, explaining that she had “had contractions every five minutes” and that the water had damaged the night.
The images continue to show Arnold being monitored at the hospital, where she tells the audience that she is “dilated to four centimeters” and that the nurses told her she was going to give birth that day.

Although the video does not show the precise moment of Sage’s birth, it provides an idea of Arnold’s emotional reactions in her C-section, when she asks her husband in tears, “Is [the baby] OKAY?”
Nurses are soon shown cleaning the newborn while Arnold tells her husband, “I hold her” in tears.
She fulfills her wish as soon as they weigh Sage and is judged to be healthy, crying as she holds her daughter for the first time, kisses her and caresses her adorable face.
“Thank you,” the new mother tells her medical team before the photographs are cut off to Lightner, who comes with his wife and daughter for some of his first family shots.

The school’s best boyfriends, who married in June 2015, welcomed Baby Sage on November 2. “The greatest wonder on this special day ??,” Arnold wrote in the caption of a photo taken shortly after giving birth to his daughter. Césarienne, who also revealed that her newborn arrived a week earlier.
“The girl and the mother are healthy and well ?, ” she added in the picture footer. “More main points to come, but I sought to share this first photo of our small circle of relatives ? #nacimiento #mama #babygirl #csection #pregnancy 39 weeks. “
Two days later, Arnold revealed his daughter’s nickname and noticed that his middle name, Jill, was a nod to his mother-in-law, who died in 2019.
“He entered this global world the same day we lost Sam’s stepmother a year ago and we couldn’t help see God’s hand and know that Sage passed us through his angel-grandmother-politics, Jennifer Jill Gillette Cusick,” explained the dancer.
