London Fashion Week’s new cultural format, which includes a series of panel discussions and fashion shows, will kick off on June 7 at the Institute of Contemporary Art.

This season, the British Fashion Council (BFC) takes over the Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) to celebrate London Fashion Week, its 40th anniversary and some of the cultures that are making a significant contribution to the British fashion industry.

The official programme starts on Friday 7 June (stay tuned for Drapers coverage on the ground) and the London Fashion Week area will be open to the public on Saturday 8 June, offering industry-curated exhibitions and panel discussions for the day.

The designers who will attend the weekend will be Denzil Patrick, Harri and Qasimi.

Panel speakers will be joined by fashion designers Charles Jeffrey, Charlie Casely-Hayford and Rejina Pyo, as well as activist and style Munroe Bergdorf, style James Corbin and disability activist Victoria Jenkins.

Tickets for Saturday’s panel discussions can be purchased through Eventbrite. All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated directly to the BFC Foundation, supporting the group of young artistic talents.
