Man accused of big in New Jersey mansion

ALPINE, N.J. (AP) – A New Jersey man faces rates after allegedly throwing a big party in one of the state’s most elegant cities.

Alpine police said Monday that they responded to a noise complaint on August 1 in the thriving suburb across the Hudson River from New York and reportedly discovered 300 to 400 people, most of them dressed in clothes covering their face or social estrangement.

Tashay Knight of Newark, who reportedly hosted the August 1 party, accused of recklessly creating a threat of widespread injury. He also won subpoenas for maintaining a nuisance, serving alcohol without a license, and violating a state decree on facial policy and social estrangement.

New Jersey fitness officials have asked for outdoor gatherings that indoors, with masks and social distances in place. Democratic Gov. Phil Murphy’s executive order allows outdoor meetings for up to 500 people, provided participants wear a mask and maintain a distance of 2 meters (6 feet) between people.

Main games have accumulated in New Jersey in recent weeks as summers were at their peak, leading Murphy to factor the warnings and Airbnb to announce that he would remove 35 lists of “party houses” in the state.

Alpine’s assets had been part of another big party on July 5 and had already been the source of noise complaints, according to Alpine’s police chief Christopher Belcolle. The owner told police that he had leased the assets to Wonder Boy Music Group.

Knight surrendered on Friday and is scheduled to appear in court on August 26, according to police. Knight’s tactile data would not be held without delay and it was not known whether he had hired a lawyer.
