Home under The Hammer star Martin Roberts, 57, revealed that everything had been “stopped” for him professionally, as the coronavirus pandemic “stopped” filming of his hit show. The DIY expert admitted that he was “concerned” about the end of his livelihood, as he and remain the main “family support” of his family.
Martin explained how “early” the blockade was, he made the decision to focus on what he can do, rather than what he can’t do.
He recalled: “Everything I do has stopped. So, you know, I’m making Homes Under The Hammer, he stopped.
“I do asset education courses, which are other people who walk into a room, and do vacation rentals, and they stopped.
“I also do asset renovations and things like that. For a while they stopped, and then, when they resumed, they could not get the essential elements such as plaster. So you know everything I did stopped.

The asset host was concerned about the adjustments in his career, as he has two young men with his wife Kirsty Roberts to himself.
He continued: “It’s a little worrying, very worrying, I’m the only supporter in our family and I have two young children, so I panicked like other people did for a while.”
The star said: “I’m self-employed and you go on and do what you can. So I think, what can I do? ‘Okay, I can’t film Homes Under The Hammer, but I know, I’m going to start filming things in my garden.’

“So one of the things I’ve tried to do is set up my YouTube channel. It’s great and I’m proud of it.”
To get the figures on his channel, Martin came up with the concept of creating a DIY exhibition for young people that included his young people.
“I started thinking, let me do things I knew, so I started doing asset stuff, and then I thought I’d do something DIY.
“So I did DIY projects and thought, ‘Hello, why not do DIY projects for kids!'”

The concept of the exhibition was born from paintings with his father when he was a child on improvements in the house.
He said of the experience: “Actually, it was lovely because my dad taught me a lot about DIY, I did it with him.”
However, Martin struggled to get his children to sign up for him at work, as they liked to play on his “tablets”.
The DIY guru joked, “I’m looking to get my 13-year-old son and 10-year-old daughter off their shelves to do DIY with Dad. I’ve presented you with part of an hour on a nail bed, too.
“But I found out the excuse that we were filming a DIY kid and I want your help.
“So we controlled recording all those adorable DIY videos with myArray”
Beyond his commitments, Martin puts his power at the service of his solidarity project.
The multi-talented star has created her sadsville e-book, which speaks of young people through sadness. The main objective of the ebook was that each and every child between the ages of 8 and nine had a copy, which is almost achieved.
