August 2020 marks the centenary of the 19th Amendment, which granted women the right to vote. It also marks the 3 months earlier than it is probably the most important U.S. presidential election in recent history (or the era of history, for that matter). Obviously, exercising the right to vote, now and, is one of our ultimate valuable civic privileges as Americans, like Meghan Markle (yes, he’s still American!) He recently put it to Marie Claire.
In the magazine, Markle and 99 other celebrities explained why they would vote in the upcoming election. For Markle, this explanation is due to the importance of our individual voices being heard and told.
“I also know that many men have risked their lives to be heard. And this opportunity, this basic right, lies in our ability to exercise our right to vote and make all our voices heard,” he said. Additional.
Of course, Markle did not explicitly mention her nonpublic delight in “feeling speechless,” yet the Duchess of Sussex’s struggles to make the transition (and leave) the royal circle of relatives were widely disseminated. Recently, court documents from Markle’s legal war with British tabloid The Daily Mail revealed that she felt “unprotected” through the royal circle of relatives during her pregnancy because she was “forbidden to protect heus” from intimidation and intrusive media presence.
And with regard to the election, it turns out that Markle is adopting a technique “that real behavior is doomed”: historically, members of the British royal circle of relatives have chosen not to vote in political elections, in accordance with the Crown’s duty to “remain strictly impartial in political matters.”
At Marie Claire, Markle added: “One of my favorite quotes, and to which my husband [Prince Harry] and I have referred, comes from Kate Sheppard, leader of the suffragette motion in New Zealand, who said, “I don’t think your bachelor vote matters. The rain that cools the dry soil is made up of exclusive droplets. “That’s why I’m voting.”
