Montell Douglas is the twelfth celebrity contestant to appear in the new Strictly Come Dancing logo series.
The multi-award-winning entertainment show, produced through BBC Studios, will return to BBC One and BBC iPlayer for its new series this autumn. As Strictly celebrates two impressive decades of dancing, this series promises to be even more special with even more glitz and glamour and unforgettable performances.
Montell Douglas or Fire is a gladiator and Olympian.
In 2023, Montell Douglas performed as Fire in the BBC One series Gladiators. He is a multi-talented games star who competed as an Olympic bobsledder and sprinter for Team GB. In 2010, Montell Douglas won Commonwealth gold in the 4x100m relay. She also held the British women’s record for fastest 100 meter sprint. Her appearance at the Beijing Winter Olympics as part of the bobsleigh team marked her breakthrough in the history of the game as she became the first British athlete to compete in both the Summer and Winter Olympics.

The news revealed on the set of Gladiators at the Sheffield Utilita Arena and his custom Roblox character was also revealed on the BBC Wonder Chase platform.
