Vera star Kenny Doughty is extremely happy to share the news of the hit drama’s return, as ITV showed when it returns to our screens.
After production was delayed in Series 11 programming due to the coronavirus pandemic, with filming even though it all started in Tynemouth in the fall of 2020, enthusiasts of the series were delighted last August when Vera, despite everything, returned.

Newcastle NHS’s relentless are poised to get a well-deserved percentage of TV celebrities in Channel 4’s new Geordie Hospital Series.
Hospital staff across the country have gone through an incredibly complicated time two years after the coronavirus pandemic and the six-part documentary will remain on the Newcastle staff through change, from world-class doctors saving and transforming lives, to groups that make it possible. .
People in all sorts of other jobs will have airtime at Geordie Hospital, from porters to surgeons, from dental nurses to sewing room ladies, as they come together to provide care with their unique warmth and sense of humor at Geordie.

He is the cheeky Geordie Chappie who won Big Brother in 2005, but now Anthony Hutton has adapted to a much quieter life, away from the spotlight.
Consett Anthony’s son was just 23 when he entered the celebrated Big Brother space and crowned the winner 78 days later, when the show’s finale aired on Channel 4.
The Newcastle-born man, now 39, received a family visit overnight, and went from being a trainee hairdresser living with his parents in County Durham to a national celebrity.
Anthony had a decent destiny in the highlights after the series ended, releasing a training DVD inspired by the ’70s nightclub, as well as performing in many nightclubs and venues across the country.
He is now a father and landlord, and lives in Darlington, County Durham.

Iranian refugee Erfan Bashiri, 29, graduated from Newcastle University with a master’s degree in computer science and has just landed a job in the NHS.
He arrived in the UK on 26 July 2018, full of confidence in his English and communication skills.
But Erfan said: “I think my English is very smart until I get to the UK and start talking to local speakers!Then I found out I didn’t know anything.
“I can just communicate in department stores and check to imply what I needed, but for long conversations, or if someone started communicating with me randomly on the street, I had no idea what was going on.
“Everything in life is more complicated when you don’t speak the general language of the country you live in. “
But Erfan heard about Action Foundation from other refugees in the city who told him about Action Language and he was taking a course.

The Northeast Ambulance Service announced that starting in January, paramedics deserve to be asked to take their breaks from hospitals or the nearest ambulance station, rather than returning to base.
NEAS chiefs said the “temporary change” was underway to restrict time lost due to staff for their breaks and to “reduce the threat to patients amid the significant and sustained pressures felt in the NHS”.
Staff who take a break from the base will get £5 per time.

A sales manager who was stuck driving while also having a bag of cocaine hidden in his jacket.
Adam Shuttleworth was driving a Ford Fiesta when he stopped at Scorer Street in North Shields.
A court learned that police officers were following the 29-year-old man, who in the past had been convicted of possession of hashish with the intention of supplying it, when they activated his blue lamps and forced him to stop.
They saw that Shuttleworth was and, because of his background, asked him if he was using drugs.
Magistrates learned that he had confessed to hiding a bag of cocaine in his jacket, which he handed over to police.
Now Shuttleworth, from Lancefield Avenue to Walker, was banned from driving for 20 months and fined £692 in total after pleading guilty to excessive driving and owning a Class A drug.

She is a pioneering woman whose paintings prove that firefighting is for girls.
Assistant Fire Chief (ACFO) Lynsey McVay is the first from the Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Department (TWFRS) to do the job, and the first senior operational officer on the service, the first to point it out after starting out as a firefighter.
She began her career in Cumbria in 2000, encouraged through her firefighter father, Lynsey, one of the few women to hold a position.
He has since risen through the ranks in the North West, moving into paintings in Cheshire, before a transitional ACFO at Tyne and Wear in the summer of 2020.
Although she first dreamed of joining the police, Lynsey “absolutely loved” being a firefighter, and is proud of how she saw the service replaced around her.

RSPCA officials in the Northeast are concerned about seal pups that came ashore after being separated from their mothers.
The animal welfare charity has taken a number of calls from members of the public involved after the puppies were seen to their mothers, which are believed to be due to Storm Arwen.
Animal rescue officer Ruth Thomas-Coxon and Inspector Steph Baines were sent to rescue a baby seal that had been trapped between two rocks on a beach near Newburn Bridge on Coronation Drive, Hartlepool, on Dec. 7.
Ruth said: “He definitely got caught between the sword and the wall with his fins, so he couldn’t get out. There was no sign of his mother, so we safely relieved him and as he looked thin and had cuts on his tail, I took him to a nearby vet for treatment.
