A structure employee died Sunday after a fall at a residential structure in Chestermere.

A spokesperson for Alberta Health Services EMS said paramedics responded to the 200 block of Chelsea Drive in Chestermere around 12:30 p. m. Sunday to receive reports of an injured man at the scene.
“Emergency services were alerted through another colleague at the scene who had discovered his colleague injured after an obvious fall, the incident was not witnessed,” said school principal Stuart Brideaux. Public EMS.
The worker, an adult male, was taken to the hospital in serious condition with life-threatening injuries, Brideaux said.
The Alberta Department of Occupational Safety and Health said Tuesday that the man had died.
“It is tragic when an employee dies on the job,” the firm said in a written statement, noting that the employee died after “falling from a height. “
OHS is investigating the incident.
