In 2021, the Oscar-winning actress shared similar sentiments with “CBS Sunday Morning. “”I’m very technological, for example, with my kids we can watch videos or cartoons. How am I not going to let them watch videos if it’s been an amazing moment of [my] happiness since I was a little girl? But no phones until they’re much older and no social media until they’re at least 16. In fact, I see this as a protection of intellectual fitness. But it turns out that for me I’m part of a minority,” Cruz suggested.
“I have a very strange relationship with social media,” he said. “I use them very little and very carefully. There is everything that doesn’t make sense and especially affects the younger generations. I feel bad for those of us who are teenagers now. It’s almost [like] the world. “I was doing some kind of experiment with them. ” Oh, let’s see what happens if you reveal so much technology to a 12-year-old. “”

Fiercely protective of her children, Cruz likely didn’t elaborate on her interests. In her interview with Elle, Cruz was reluctant to say whether her children would follow in the artistic footsteps of their successful parents. “It’s up to them whether they’re going to have a task that’s going to be more exposed to the public or not. They can communicate it when they’re ready,” he told the outlet.
Cruz, 49, loves motherhood; She recognizes the importance of the role. “I knew from a young age that I wanted children. But I knew I wanted older ones. I wanted to wait until I felt ready. I’m sure that would be the most important thing she could do. ” I would do in my life,” explained the actress.
She welcomed her first child at age 36 and her second at age 39.

Cruz has often been cast as maternal characters. In the upcoming biopic “Ferrari,” she plays bereaved mother Laura Ferrari.
“At my age, 80 percent of the characters that I play will be about motherhood or divorce or abandonment or characters who didn’t want to have children or couldn’t or who lost children. I’ve played mothers since I was very young,” she said.

Many of her films were shot with Spanish director Pedro Almodóvar, who, according to her, saw her worried before she had children of her own to raise.
“Peter has an idea of me as a mother,” she explained. We’ve known each other since I was 17 years old. I would see myself communicating with strangers just to see their babies. He has noticed in me this strong and unavoidable instinct, and I have noticed that he sees it. “
