Bradley Cooper! Fifth Brunson! And even more than what he is talking about (or will be talking about) the people.

Visit phillymag. com morning for the latest edition of Philly Today. And if you have a news tip for our hardworking journalists, send it here.

If you watched the Philadelphia Eagles beat the Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football, you were in company.

Among the celebrities seen at the Eagles game: Bradley Cooper, a dreamy-eyed son from Jenkintown; genius comedian Quinta Brunson, who just won the Emmy for her writings on Abbott Elementary, which returns Wednesday night; Sixers star James Harden; The legend of Questlove’s roots; and Phillies players Bryce Harper and Rhys Hoskins, who haven’t been a big party, given that they will take the stage at Citizens Bank Park less than 24 hours before the Eagles game.

More on Sandy Hingston’s vast Philadelphia sports world, below.

Once the Eagles game was over, we got bored, so naturally we turned to Twitter to see what topics were hot, because that’s what journalists do when they’re bored. And lo and behold, Kensington in fashion.

Now it turns out that it’s not just a product of our Kensington. It’s probably due to the combined forces of this besieged community of Philadelphia and Kensington Palace, due to the Queen’s death and all that.

As for Kensington in Philadelphia, other people were paying attention to the city’s forgotten community because candidate healer Dr. Oz hosted a ridiculous photo shoot there.

Dr. Oz picked up a needle from the ground, without a glove, we might add. He threw other people, who were genuine people affected by the opioid epidemic or paid actors, depending on who it was, into his van, ostensibly to call for help. Oz told someone (presumably a reporter) who had asked her about the disorders in Kensington that she deserved to quit her cigarette. It was an unhappy demonstration, although we somehow agree with Dr. Oz’s supporters who point out that Mayor Jim Kenney doesn’t spend much time in Kensington. Sad when Kenney slides a rung under Dr. Oz.

Oh, and can you tell NBC News’ Dasha Burns (well, and Dr. Oz, since she retweeted it) that Kensington is a Philadelphia community and not a Pennsylvania city?

#PASEN Oz spent time in Kensington, Pennsylvania today for a “Safer Streets” initiative. to a rehabilitation center.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: November 8 comes early enough.

Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner is in full-blown crisis mode. Many blame him for Philadelphia’s ridiculous crime problem, which he unfortunately downplayed so long ago. Many Republican lawmakers in Harrisburg need to oust him, and some Democrats agree with them.

On Monday, Krasner held a lengthy news conference, subsidized by local black devotees and political leaders, to make his case. Here’s what he said about organizing politicians who want to impeach him: “Properly and within our constitutional rights. “As long as we have them, maybe it’s time for the electorate to take to the streets and make sure their voices are heard, no matter how many more approaches are ambushed and invented to this issue.

Is it me or does Krasner seem worried?

Within two minutes of the Eagles’ 24-7 loss to the Minnesota Vikings, WIP’s Merrill Reese summed it up best: “It’s smart when at this point in the game, you can just have fun. “

Laughing has been a rare pleasure for Eagles enthusiasts in recent seasons, what an anguish! But, damn, the team’s show of strength on Monday Night Football was a lot of fun. Whether it’s QB Jalen Hurts, who had his percentage of doubts: putting offense on his back and running with it in the first half, or Darius Slay blocking high-profile Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson throughout the game, or the total high school still betting like they knew what they were doing, This was a pleasure from start to finish. to the chagrin of advertisers notoriously opposed to Philly Joe Buck and Troy Aikman (“The two worst fools in the industry,” my husband said disgusted by the start of the game).

The injured passed for 333 total yards, while the Vikings shot 3 times on their first two possessions. As we said, fun!

Among the stars were several former goats on the team: Dallas Goedert, Avonte Maddox, T. J. Edwards, Miles Sanders, Quez Watkins and Boston Scott were proud, as was rookie A. J. Chestnut. (Okay, the offensive line had some attractive issues with ineligible receivers, but clearly, the umpires were the best in that first half. )

A sweet revenge heard Aikman say about the Birds, possibly gritted teeth: “They all played at an exceptionally high level. Next Sunday at 1 p. m. : the Washingtons, uh, Commanders, under the command of Carson Wentz. Hopefully it’s fun too. ” —Sandy Hingston
